"For the leadership, it might be a tool for maintaining order and preserving their legacy. For ordinary villagers, it was a refuge that offered safety and a livelihood. For the major clans..."

Itachi swept his gaze over Fugaku and the elders.

"It was both a platform for cooperation and a battlefield for competing interests. It could even be... a set of shackles."

He looked at Genya, his gaze sharp.

"You ask what the village means. Perhaps the better question is: what role do we Uchiha wish to play in this collective?"

"Outcasts who are viewed with suspicion and rejected, or indispensable pillars?"

"Is the peace we seek a hegemonic peace, with the Uchiha Clan standing above the village, or a shared peace in which we coexist with the other clans as part of Konoha?"

Itachi's questions cut deeper, striking at the heart of the Uchiha's predicament: how they defined themselves and how they chose to survive.

Genya listened to Shisui's ideals and Itachi's practical analysis without surprise.

When the two finished, everyone was still digesting their words, waiting for Genya's response.

Genya first bowed slightly to Shisui and Itachi.

"Thank you both for your guidance."

Then he straightened and looked at every Uchiha in the Secret Chamber.

"What you've said has helped me understand that, whether we speak of ideals or reality, we cannot escape one simple truth-"

He raised one finger, his tone firm.

"Konoha has never been, and should never be, the private property of any one person or clan."

"It is like a great tree."

"The First Hokage and the Senju Clan provided the strongest trunk and its first nutrients."

"And we Uchiha, along with all the other shinobi clans, large and small-the cooperation of Ino-Shika-Cho is like an interwoven root system, the Aburame and Inuzuka Clan are like flourishing branches and leaves, and countless civilian-born shinobi are like the indispensable nutrients in the soil..."

"Every clan is a unique and important part of this great tree. None can survive alone, and none should be pruned or discarded without cause."

"Perhaps peace means allowing this tree to grow healthily, with each part fulfilling its role and sharing the sunlight and rain."

"And the village's purpose is to provide the most fertile, peaceful ground possible for that tree to grow."

Genya looked at his father, Sosuke, then at Fugaku, the clan leader.

"We argue, suspect one another, and even fight among ourselves here today not because the tree itself is wrong, but because some people either want the whole tree for themselves, or believe their own leaf is about to wither and want to cut the entire tree down... forgetting that once the tree falls, how can its leaves survive alone?"

Inside the Secret Chamber.

Shisui's and Itachi's incisive analyses still echoed in their ears.

But Genya's words, grounded in reality yet looking toward the future, were like a beam of light piercing the gloom and stubborn prejudice that had long hung over the Uchiha.

For the first time, many began to sit down and truly consider where the Uchiha should go from here.

Uchiha Fugaku knitted his brows, sinking into deep thought.

Sosuke Uchiha looked at his son, the pride and conflicting emotions in his eyes growing stronger.

Shisui Uchiha and Itachi exchanged a glance, each seeing an indescribable shock in the other's eyes.

This clansman, only six years old, already possessed a vision and breadth of perspective beyond anything they had expected.

Just then.

An Uchiha elder, one of the more senior members of the Hardline Faction who had fortunately escaped being caught up in the earlier fight.

After the long silence and mounting pressure, he finally could no longer restrain himself. Stiffening his neck, he voiced the most fundamental question, the one that cut deepest into every Uchiha's heart.

"That... that sounds very nice, young master Genya! You keep talking about great trees, branches, leaves, and coexistence... but what about reality?!"

He pointed beyond the Secret Chamber, as though pointing at all of Konoha.

"When has the village leadership, especially the Hokage and that Shimura Danzō, ever treated us Uchiha as equal branches and leaves?"

"The baseless suspicions after the Nine-Tails' Attack, the increasingly strict surveillance, the Konoha Military Police Force being stripped of authority and pushed aside, our inability to even enter the village's inner decision-making circle... isn't that blatant exclusion and persecution?"

"Are we supposed to keep swallowing our anger and accepting whatever they do to us forever?!"

He tore away the last veil of pretense, exposing the bloody wound before everyone.

Shisui's smile faded, Itachi's gaze deepened, Fugaku's brows drew tightly together, and Sosuke's expression grew grave. Worry also flickered in Izumi's eyes.

Everyone turned toward Genya, waiting to see how he would face this sharp, unavoidable conflict.

Genya looked at the elder. Rather than becoming angry at his challenge, he smiled.

Yet that smile sent an inexplicable chill through the elder, who instinctively drew his neck back.

"Oh? They're targeting the Uchiha Clan?"

Genya's tone was teasing.

You finally spoke up. If you hadn't, I wouldn't have been able to bring up Danzo openly.

"Elder, you say the village leadership, especially the Hokage and Advisor Danzo, are targeting us?"

"Then could you tell me specifically how they're doing that?"

"What explicit policies, decrees, or public actions have targeted the Uchiha Clan specifically and exclusively, with the clear purpose of harming the interests of the clan as a whole?"

The elder faltered at the questions, then began counting on his fingers in agitation.

"Does that even need explaining? The Konoha Military Police Force's authority has been restricted and divided again and again! More guard posts have been placed around our clan grounds! We Uchiha were deliberately kept at a distance when assignments were handed out for rebuilding the village!"

"And after the Hyuga Incident, that sense that their fate could be ours next... isn't all of this obvious?"

Genya listened patiently, then turned to Fugaku and spoke earnestly.

"Clan leader, surely the clan has collected and organized records of the village leadership's public statements and policy leanings, particularly those of Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi and Advisors Shimura Danzō, Utatane Koharu, and Mitokado Homura, as well as documents concerning matters that might affect our clan?"

"May I see them? Especially those from after the Nine-Tails' Attack."

Fugaku gave Genya a long, searching look, then nodded to a trusted clansman beside him.

The clansman quickly retrieved several thick files from a filing cabinet on one side of the Secret Chamber and respectfully placed them before Genya.

Without ceremony, Genya sat cross-legged and began leafing through them swiftly and intently by the firelight in the Secret Chamber.

Time passed as he read in silence.

Everyone held their breath, watching the boy.

At last, Genya closed the final file and raised his head.

"I've finished."

He looked at the elder who had asked the question, then at everyone present, and slowly said:

"The records in these files are very interesting."

"Everyone, among the leadership, Shimura Danzō does indeed harbor extreme suspicion and malice toward the Uchiha."

"But on an official level, the village as a whole has left no clear evidence that could be defined as persecution."

"Under the unassailable pretexts of rules, the greater good, and security, they are gradually distancing, restricting, and marginalizing us-like boiling a frog slowly."

He looked at the elder, then at everyone else.

"So what we face is not an open declaration of war, but a struggle without smoke or gunfire that is even more dangerous."

"Our opponents hide behind the banners of the village's interests and the Will of Fire, using rules and public opinion to squeeze us out."

"Under these circumstances, if we jump up and shout, 'They're targeting us!' as certain people advocate..."

"'We must fight back!' What would that achieve beyond handing our opponents a ready-made charge that the Uchiha are indeed resentful and plotting rebellion, intensifying the conflict, and hastening our own isolation?"
