The mantle of the Seventh Hokage had once again fallen on an Uchiha's shoulders.
In the office on the top floor of the Hokage Building, Shisui was sorting through documents.
Yugao stood beside him, helping him sort the files that needed to be handed over.
Shisui paused and glanced at her.
"You seem more eager than I am."
"I just want to finish early and get off work early."
Shisui smiled and went back to sorting.
On Hokage Rock, workers were carving the seventh face.
Itachi's features gradually took shape in the stone.
Long hair, deep eyes, a calm expression.
Hashirama stood below the cliff, gazing up at the stone likeness taking shape.
Perhaps he was thinking of Madara, or perhaps of Konoha's future.
Tsunade passed by, took a look, and teased him.
"Not bad. At least he doesn't look as sour as his little brother."
Hashirama rubbed his nose. Madara Uchiha and Sasuke Uchiha seemed to share that same sour expression...

The position of Anbu Chief went to Shisui.
That was right. The two had switched places.
Shisui went from Hokage to Anbu Chief, and Itachi went from Anbu Chief to Hokage.
When the news spread, the Anbu erupted. Some were delighted, while others despaired. They were delighted that Lord Shisui was back, and despaired because his return meant they could no longer slack off.
