With Hashirama’s return and Tsunade’s leadership, Konoha confronted past injustices and made amends to Naruto, the Hyuga, and others harmed by the village. As reforms took hold, Naruto found support and his parents’ keepsakes, while Genya settled into a lively, comfortable life among friends and family.

• Hashirama promised Lee that Tsunade could heal his damaged legs, and Tsunade scheduled surgery for the next day.
• Tsunade became Hokage, and Hashirama challenged Hiruzen and the elders over Konoha’s treatment of Naruto, the Hyuga, Hatake Sakumo, and others harmed by Danzo.
• Hashirama and Tsunade announced reforms, including benefits for Naruto, Sakumo’s exoneration, a Taijutsu class, compensation for harmed families, and changes to the Uchiha Military Police Force and Hokage council.
• After the village learned Naruto was Minato and Kushina’s son, villagers apologized to him, and Genya brought him his parents’ belongings.
• Naruto cried over his parents’ photograph and keepsakes, then promised to become Hokage as Sakura and Sasuke stayed beside him.
• Genya spent time with Nami, Hinata, and Hanabi, while Tsunade put him and Hashirama on guard duty and Genya helped with Hokage paperwork.

Genya’s New Year celebration brought the village together around his call for everyone to protect what they cherished, while his relationships with Ino, Hinata, and others continued to deepen. The arc ended with Genya and Hashirama arriving in Sunagakure for the Chunin Ninja Exams, where Naruto reunited with Gaara and Sasuke withdrew.

• Genya performed with a towering Perfect Susanoo at Konoha’s New Year’s Gala, then told the crowd that anyone could be a Hokage by protecting what they cherished and helping the village.
• Genya spent the night with Kurenai, taught Yugao the sword technique Follow Your Heart, and celebrated New Year with Naruto, Sasuke, Ino, and Hinata.
• Genya joined Ino and Hinata for visits with Hanabi, including a night-market outing where Hanabi gave Naruto a fox plush and enjoyed the fireworks with the Konoha 12.
• Tsunade assigned Hashirama to lead Konoha’s Chunin Ninja Exams team in Sunagakure and made Genya his deputy, then sent them off two days later.
• The other villages sent strong genin teams after learning Hashirama and Genya would attend, and Baki prepared Sunagakure to host the visitors.
• Genya traveled to Sunagakure with Hashirama, Naruto, Sasuke, Hinata, Ino, and the candidates, while Itachi delivered a crate of sake for Hashirama.
• After Baki welcomed the group, Naruto eagerly greeted Gaara, Kankuro backed off when Gaara gave him a warning look, and Sasuke left for the alleys as Sakura followed.

After the Chunin Exams, Genya joined Jiraiya and Kakashi to confront Obito, and the clash drew Hashirama, Madara, and shinobi from several villages into battle. Genya faced Madara while Itachi, Shisui, Jiraiya, and Guy fought the other enemies, leaving the battlefield in the midst of a major confrontation.

• Genya spent time with Ino and Hinata in Sunagakure, then arranged for Team 7 to remain genin after they lost the exams and returned to Konoha determined to improve.
• Tsunade punished Genya and Hashirama for their outing, while Hashirama bonded with Fugaku over stories of Madara and the village’s founding.
• Obito and Black Zetsu discussed how Genya had disrupted their plans, while Naruto and his friends gathered, trained, and prepared for the next Chunin Exams.
• After learning that Jiraiya and Kakashi had gone to investigate Obito, Genya set out with Itachi and Shisui, followed by Guy, Hashirama, and other Konoha forces.
• Jiraiya fought Kisame while Kakashi faced Obito in Amegakure, and Orochimaru joined the battle before Genya and the reinforcements arrived.
• Genya shattered Obito’s mask and Kakashi recognized him, but Orochimaru summoned Madara, who joined Obito as Pain, Konan, Deidara, and Sasori arrived.
• Madara and Genya summoned their Perfect Susanoo and began fighting, while Itachi and Shisui battled Orochimaru’s reincarnated army and Guy charged Madara’s armor with the Eight Gates.

Genya and the Allied Shinobi Forces defeated Madara and Obito’s forces, then learned that Black Zetsu had been preparing for Kaguya Ōtsutsuki’s return. Genya freed Kaguya from the moon with Hashirama, but she attacked them, and Genya’s sudden power surge left her battered beneath the lunar surface.

• Black Zetsu unleashed the White Zetsu army across the battlefield as Deidara, Itachi, Shisui, and other shinobi fought the invasion.
• Genya drew lightning into his Susanoo and shattered Madara’s Susanoo before switching to Thunderclap Gear to battle him at extreme speed.
• Hashirama overwhelmed the White Zetsu with Wood Release, and the Five Kage and allied forces arrived to turn the battle against Madara and Obito.
• Genya and Hashirama restrained Madara while Genya sealed him with the Totsuka Blade, and Obito surrendered as the tailed beasts’ control faltered.
• After the war, Black Zetsu revealed that he had sought to resurrect Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, and Konan learned that Obito had engineered the tragedies that made Nagato his pawn.
• Genya spent time with Konan and Kurenai before taking Hashirama and Black Zetsu to the moon, where they broke Kaguya’s seal and released her.
• Kaguya attacked Genya and Hashirama, but Genya opened his bond gift packs, gained a Nine-Tomoe Rinnegan, and struck her through the moon’s surface.
