Genya built bonds at the Academy while learning the depth of the Uchiha’s conflict with Konoha. When he intervened to protect Hinata from Neji, his clash with Hiashi drew the Hokage’s forces and the Uchiha police to the Hyuga compound, where Genya meant to use his strength as leverage for his clan.

• Genya met Hinata and Nami, protected Hinata from bullies, and formed close friendships with both girls.
• Genya entered the Academy, befriended Ino, and included Naruto in a meal with his classmates.
• Genya learned that the Uchiha clan was divided and that suspicion from Konoha’s leadership had deepened the rift between them.

After defending Hinata, Genya turned the Uchiha clan away from a coup and toward building alliances and trust in Konoha. He then planned a New Year performance to change the clan’s public image, with Sasuke and Xuejian recruited for a special role as the gala approached.

• Genya stopped fighting Hiashi after Hinata cried out, defended her before Hiruzen, and left with her after Hiruzen dismissed the incident with a warning.
• At the Uchiha clan meeting, Genya confronted the hardliners, defeated their attackers, and argued against a coup while drawing support from Shisui and Itachi.
• Genya persuaded the clan to seek Hyuga ties and build trust in Konoha, then led Fugaku, Sosuke, Izumi, and Itachi to apologize to Hiashi and propose cooperation and reform.
• Genya proposed that the Uchiha join Konoha’s New Year celebrations with a performance, selecting Chinatsu, Akari, and Akane as lead singers and assigning Itachi to provide music.

Genya strengthened the Uchiha’s position in Konoha while pursuing Danzo and uncovering evidence about the Nine-Tails attack. The investigation identified Obito as the prime suspect, Genya awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan, and a dispute with the Daimyo over the Dawn Girl Group left the Uchiha facing a new problem.

• Genya confronted Danzo’s disappearance at the jonin meeting, announced a bounty, and pushed Hiruzen to launch an investigation into Danzo and Root.
• Genya, the Uchiha, and the Hyuga searched Root’s base and found evidence that Danzo had passed Kushina’s location and security details to the Masked Man before the Nine-Tails attack.
• Genya led the Uchiha’s search through clan records, and the investigation focused on Obito Uchiha because his body had never been recovered after the Kannabi Bridge mission.
• Genya used Yin Release chakra on Kakashi’s Sharingan, awakening Kakashi’s Mangekyō and proposing that its pattern be compared with the Masked Man’s.
• Genya gained new abilities from Nami’s and Ino’s gift packs, but Ino’s gift overwhelmed his mental energy and awakened his own Mangekyō Sharingan.
