Inside a cave on White Mountain in Hangzhou, Su Miu and Mo Fan watched Tang Yue take out a bead.
A flash of light followed, and an enormous python appeared, its body at least a thousand meters long.
Its head alone measured at least fifty meters across, large enough for a dozen or more people to stand on. As the enormous Totem Black Snake appeared, Tang Yue smiled at the weakened snake and reached out to stroke its body, soothing it.
"It's all right, big guy. You're safe here."
The Totem Black Snake looked toward the unfamiliar Su Miu nearby, seemingly wary of his unfamiliar presence. She hurried to reassure it.
"Big guy, he's not an enemy. We owe him a lot for getting us here safely."
Under Tang Yue's soothing touch, the Black Snake soon settled down and began its molt without worry.
"How much longer will the Black Snake be weakened during its molt?"
Su Miu asked curiously about the progress of the Black Snake's molt. Tang Yue estimated the time and soon gave him an answer.
"It'll take about another month to get through the weakened period."
"Does it need to eat anything to replenish its energy? If it eats and gets back into better shape, could that speed up its molt?"
Su Miu recalled that the Black Snake could apparently recover by eating poisonous substances. As it happened, Sunset Forest had plenty of jade phosphorus seven-absolute flowers and jade phosphorus nine absolute flowers.
"Big guy is the progenitor of the poison element. If it had poisonous substances to eat, that should greatly shorten the weakened period during its molt. But we left in such a hurry... and we don't normally carry poison around with us..."
