History

Protecting the Auspicious Beast

When the Three-Eyed Golden Lion returns from Su Miu’s world, Di Tian gathers the ferocious beasts to discuss her contract. He considers forcibly severing it but fears harming her. Her Eye of Destiny’s prediction—that Su Miu can help her survive her mortal tribulation—persuades him to tolerate the connection 3.

His first major bargain with Su Miu follows the recovery of stolen Gold of Life. Acting on Su Miu’s instructions, Di Qiu’er brings him the Golden Hawksbill Turtle responsible for the theft. Di Tian kills the thief, recovers the treasure, and orders Xiong Jun to assemble hundred-year and thousand-year Dark Gold Terrorclaw Bears for Su Miu to choose from 6 7.

Cooperation with Su Miu

Di Tian joins Su Miu’s ambush of the escaped Sky Dream Ice Silkworm. Following their agreement, he restrains his killing intent until the silkworm’s sacrifice creates an opportunity to seize its origin. He divides the resulting ten portions equally with Su Miu, then acquires another portion in exchange for the silkworm’s cast skin. He believes the origin, together with the Auspicious Beast’s assistance, will enable him to survive his future 900,000-year tribulation 15 16 17.

At the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, he confirms the remains of the Fire Dragon King and Ice Dragon King, whom he calls his uncle and aunt. He helps harvest the immortal herbs, protects Di Qiu’er and Bai Xiuxiu, and reports the discovery to the Silver Dragon King. He subsequently carries his master’s reverse scale and attached divine sense to the site 38 39.

Di Tian also escorts Su Miu and Bai Xiuxiu to the Far North to seek cooperation with its rulers. He introduces Su Miu as an important partner of Star Dou Great Forest and protects him from the Snow Empress’s pressure during the negotiations 41.

Godhood and Defense of the Clan

Summoned during Bocheng’s destruction, Di Tian kills the Winged Azure Wolf and gains the opportunity to attain godhood outside the Douluo Plane’s restrictions. He later thanks Su Miu and recognizes a debt to him, despite continuing to resent Di Qiu’er’s attachment to the human 46 47 51.

When Su Miu requests a contract with Bi Ji, Di Tian consults the Silver Dragon King because of Bi Ji’s strategic importance. He then witnesses her evolution into a Jade Sacred Goose. Later, he kills Tai Tan and Niu Tian after their attempt to intercept Di Qiu’er, while sparing and knocking unconscious Wang Dong’er at Su Miu’s request 61 62 73.

After examining Level 9 Soul Cannon Shells, Di Tian recognizes the danger posed by human weapons of mass destruction and approves Di Qiu’er’s trip to Mingdu 85.

Dragon Legacy and Later Battles

Di Tian guides Su Miu to an audience with the Silver Dragon King and accompanies them on the overseas search for the Dragon Clan’s graveyard.
