The experiments fell quiet for the time being. Yu Lin Bloodhawk led his people back to The Hinterlands, and the sealed infernal souls were secretly stored in Quel'Danil City. Shidewa and Xingluoge's Snow Leopard and Dire Wolf squadrons kept them under tight guard. No one was allowed to remove them without Yu Lin Bloodhawk's written order.
Personnel sent by the Quel'Danil Standing Army steadily transported the large quantities of singing crystals brought from Stranglethorn Vale by the City Lord's Household Guard through the Portal to the Valley of Trials. Sorens also sent a group of mages carrying the plans for the Binding Magic Array through the Portal alongside the crystal transport teams. They would build a new Binding Magic Array in Trial Valley. The Old Charlatan himself, however, took a handful of high-ranking mages and the converted arcane Infernals directly from Eldre'Thalas to Silvermoon City.
Yu Lin Bloodhawk left all of this to his subordinates. There was no need for him to oversee every detail personally. Thinking he had nothing else to do, he had originally planned to visit Alleria in the Swamp of Sorrows, but Sylvanas stopped him in the end. She told him that everything was going smoothly for Alleria on the front lines. She wanted him to make the most of this quiet period, reach Legendary as soon as possible, and erase Malygos's consciousness from his mana sea.
Yu Lin Bloodhawk could only stay behind, for he knew Sylvanas was right. The consciousness Malygos had left behind was indeed a dangerous bomb, and the sooner he removed it, the better.
And so Yu Lin Bloodhawk settled back into his residence in Quel'Danil Mountain Valley. He never imagined that this stay would last nearly another three full months.
