The Alliance faced mounting pressure on the Arathi front while the elves and Wildhammer dwarves prepared the Hinterlands defenses. At Andorhal, Shidewa and Xingluoge’s ambush trapped the orcs, while Alleria and Sylvanas helped Yu Lin Bloodhawk absorb the Dragon Soul’s blue dragon power.

• The Army General Staff formed the Eastern Hinterlands Reinforced Combined Legion, placing Troll Armed Police officers in command of the Vilebranch warriors and ordering the new Warchief to enforce obedience.
• On the Arathi front, Lor'themar told Lothar that Quel'Thalas could send no more mages because Zul'Aman’s trolls were mobilizing, while Stromgarde and Refuge Valley remained under heavy pressure.
• Alleria, Sylvanas, and Yu Lin Bloodhawk activated the Dragon Soul, then began refining its power, with Yu Lin choosing the Blue Dragon’s source power.
• Shidewa and Xingluoge led the Eastern Burning Legion toward Andorhal after orcs crossed the Alterac front, and Shidewa prepared an ambush while Uther urged a direct attack.
• Uther led his Paladins against the Orc Wolf Rider vanguard, suffering heavy losses before continuing toward the orc main force despite Shidewa’s order to wait.
• Alleria and Sylvanas warned that the orcs at Andorhal might be targeting the city’s granaries, while Yu Lin endured painful efforts to absorb the blue dragon’s source power.
• Shidewa and Xingluoge discovered a Legendary Warlock and nearly two hundred Death Knights among the orcs, then used Uther and his surviving Paladins to draw the Death Knights through the ambush zone.
• Poisoned caltrops and volleys from Vilebranch Trolls and High Elves devastated the orcs, while Shidewa’s forces targeted the warlocks and gryphon riders bombed the trapped formation.

After the Orcs stole a Rune Stone and Quel'Thalas suffered heavy losses, Yu Lin Bloodhawk suspected a wider attack was coming and began preparing the Hinterlands and the Windrunners. As Sylvanas worked to protect their family and Alleria chose a future with Yu Lin, Lireesa gave Alleria the ancestral bow Thori'dal.

• Shidewa and Xingluoge fought Gul'dan, but he escaped with his forces through a Mass Teleportation Scroll before they joined Uther in defeating the remaining Death Knights.
• After the Orcs stole a Rune Stone from Quel'Thalas and burned villages during their escape, Sylvanas considered changing history with the Dragon Soul, but Yu Lin warned her of the danger.
• Yu Lin returned to the Hinterlands, helped the Quel'Danil Council plan treehouse villages, and discussed the unusual lull in Orc attacks with Alleria and Sylvanas.
• Alleria resigned as commander, told Sylvanas to protect Quel'Thalas, and confessed her love to Yu Lin, asking to marry him after the crisis.
• Yu Lin arranged research on captive Death Knights and funded Sorens's Magic Portal Anchor Point, then oversaw the creation and production of War God Armor.
• Yu Lin trained with Orc Blademasters and improved enough to defeat Shidewa and Xingluoge in sparring, while the instructors and prisoners began questioning their demon-worship.
• When Yu Lin suspected Doomhammer was preparing an attack, he recalled Alleria's forces and began withdrawing most High Elves from the Hinterlands as Sylvanas struggled to prepare Quel'Thalas.

Yu Lin Bloodhawk and the Windrunner sisters prepared to evacuate civilians, strengthen their forces, and protect the family as Orcs appeared in southern Eversong Woods. Alleria showed Lireesa Sylvanas’s recording, which revealed the danger facing Quel'Thalas and warned that many Windrunners would die.

• Sylvanas ordered Yu Lin Bloodhawk to secretly relocate nearly twenty thousand southern civilians to the Hinterlands, using disguised trolls and ships at Goldenmist Village.
• Yu Lin Bloodhawk and the Windrunner sisters discussed legendary bows and the Dragon Soul, then Sylvanas chose Shidewa and Xingluoge to absorb its power while its materials were prepared for weapon-making.
• Yu Lin Bloodhawk let Lirath Windrunner begin a three-month trial for the Eaglewing Regiment and arranged training with Thirteen while feeding him meals made from stolen chickens.
• When Orcs appeared in Zul'Aman territory and Silvermoon City failed to respond, Sylvanas prepared evacuation routes and defenses while Yu Lin Bloodhawk reviewed supplies and proposed a plan to divide the Orc force.
• Alleria and Yu Lin Bloodhawk arranged to trade Dragon Soul fragments for bows, and Alleria sent Lirath and the rest of the Windrunner family to the Hinterlands while she remained in Quel'Thalas.

• Alleria told Lireesa she planned to live in the Hinterlands after the war and arranged to trade Dragon Soul fragments for military bows.
• Alleria and Lireesa watched Sylvanas’s Memory Crystal recording, which described the coming danger, confirmed the High Elves’ arcane addiction, and warned that Lireesa and more than twenty Windrunners would die in the war.

Yu Lin Bloodhawk settled the new High Elf arrivals in the Hinterlands while arranging for Lirath Windrunner to stay with Sorens and commissioning research and military reforms. As the orcs threatened Quel’Thalas, Yu Lin prepared to send Hinterlands forces against their supply lines and sought Wildhammer support, while planning to use Stormwind refugees in a restoration army.

• Alleria told Lireesa Windrunner that Sylvanas wanted civilians moved from southern Eversong Woods, and Yu Lin Bloodhawk returned to the Hinterlands with the Windrunner family and sealed Dragon Soul fragments.
• Yu Lin Bloodhawk tried to bring Lirath Windrunner ashore, but Lirath hid aboard Thirteen’s ship and begged to sail with him before Yu Lin caught him and took him to Quel'Danil City.
• Yu Lin Bloodhawk arranged for Sorens to teach and protect Lirath, while Sorens and a Wildhammer Dwarf studied Dragon Soul fragments and Yu Lin funded research into fighting Death Knights and undead.
• Yu Lin Bloodhawk approved more bow production and surveyed the High Elf settlements, then ordered new City Guard units and a second-class standing legion to strengthen Quel'Danil and the Seaside Plain.
• Yu Lin Bloodhawk learned that newly arrived High Elves struggled with their weakened Sunwell connection and arranged resettlement and census registration before asking them to join the army.
• Yu Lin Bloodhawk ordered land surveys and created the Kingdom of Stormwind Restoration Legion, planning to use Stormwind refugees to attack orc supply convoys and send forces to Durnholde.
• Yu Lin Bloodhawk met Mez'dra at Aerie Peak and proposed sending troops against the orcs, while Mez'dra described the Wildhammer defenses and asked what spoils the Hinterlands expected from the war.
