"Hehe!"

"Howdy!"

Baili Pangpang flashed a harmless smile, which only frightened the sniper more.

"Ahhh!"

"Don't... don't kill me!"

"Oh?" Wang Quan patted the sniper's head, narrowing his eyes.

"Then what about my car?"

"I... I'll pay for it!" The sniper wet himself in terror. The man before him was a ruthless killer who hunted down members of the Ancient God Church.

"No need!" Wang Quan still sounded perfectly friendly, letting the sniper relax considerably. He thought the legendary White Reaper wasn't all that frightening after all.

The next second, the Cursed Technique "Purple" activated.

With a light flick of his finger, a smooth, dark purple sphere the size of an egg shot into the sniper, leaving a trail of shattered space in its wake.

There were no screams, no blood. The sniper vanished without a sound.

Wang Quan set Baili Pangpang down. The guy was still clutching his suitcase. He could die, but he couldn't lose his introductory gifts.

"Chubby, give me ten seconds!"

"Okay!"

"You're the best, Brother Quan!"

Before his words had finished ringing out, Wang Quan vanished.

Over the next ten seconds, brilliant points of light flashed intermittently through the boundless darkness. From a distance, they looked like falling comets.

"Chubby, move aside!"

Wang Quan's voice rang out. The instant Baili Pangpang moved, black-clad mercenaries dropped from the sky.

One, two, three...

Ten people in total, all in ten seconds.

The mercenary captain glared viciously at Wang Quan and threatened, "Wang Quan, you've made so many enemies. One day, someone will kill you!"

"This kid's head is only worth a few hundred million. Why risk your life for him?"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're absolutely right!" Wang Quan nodded repeatedly. His obnoxious reply nearly infuriated the mercenary captain to death.

"Wang Quan, you..."

This time, he never got to finish. His entire body exploded into a cloud of blood.

"Please spare me! I'm just trying to make a living!" A female mercenary dropped to her knees and kowtowed in terror. She didn't want to die. "I'll give you everything I own!"

Wang Quan said nothing, merely glancing around. The others hurried to beg for mercy too.

"Your last words are pretty boring!"

He yawned lazily as he complained.

The next second, his azure eyes outshone the moonlight, and Unlimited Void unfolded.

A minute later, nine drooling idiots with vacant eyes stood on the mountaintop.

In that single minute, their brains had received a hundred years' worth of garbage information. Their minds crashed, leaving them all imbeciles.

Having dealt with the assassins, Wang Quan suddenly turned toward the endless mountains in the distance and spoke coldly. His proud, confident voice, brimming with murderous intent, echoed beneath the heavens.

"I'm right here! Anyone who wants to kill Chubby, come and try!"

In the darkness, many people slunk away.

Wang Quan clapped his hands, grabbed Baili Pangpang, and said with a smile, "Let's go home!"

"Huh?"

"How are we getting back?"

"Should I call a private jet?"

Baili Pangpang understood their situation perfectly well. The cliff beneath them was at least a thousand meters high.

"We're walking back, obviously!" Wang Quan scratched his head and stepped off the cliff.

Meanwhile, an exhausted Lin Qiye had just reached the street opposite Hongying Villa.

By chance, he spotted a shooting star streaking through the dark sky. He wasn't sure whether it was a trick of perspective, but the shooting star kept getting closer.

"Holy shit!"

"It's not a trick of perspective!"

"Did I break some heavenly law?!"

"Why the fuck is a shooting star coming straight at me?!"

Unfortunately, it hit him.

Baili Pangpang and Wang Quan sat up. The former scratched his head in confusion. "Brother Quan, this villa development is pretty nice. The ground's so soft. I want to buy a place here."

"That's not right. It shouldn't be!"

"I remember there wasn't a lawn here!"

"Lawn, my ass! You white-haired bastard, fuck you! Both of you, get off me!"

Lin Qiye's furious curses came from beneath them. They slowly looked down and jolted in fright.

"Whoa, Little Ye!"

"Brother Qiye, out for a night run?"

Lin Qiye: "..."

"I just got back from training! Get off me, you two bastards!"

"Oh, right, right!"

"Sorry! Sorry, Brother Qiye!"

They scrambled to their feet. Lin Qiye stood up, rubbing his backside and glaring viciously at them.

"Good thing I activated the emergency brakes. I was worried we'd land on someone!" Wang Quan shuddered at the thought, then abruptly changed his tune. "But we landed on one of our own, so it's fine!"

"You..." Lin Qiye's eyes widened. He had never been so speechless in his life. This shameless bastard had him beaten.

"Little Ye, all I can say is that your luck sucks. Getting hit by a shooting star in the middle of the night..."

"Don't buy any lottery tickets for a while!" Wang Quan helpfully reminded him.

"Gee, thanks!" Lin Qiye gave up trying to communicate. This guy had no shame.

"Let's go home. Home first!"

Grinning, Wang Quan slung an arm around Lin Qiye, who reluctantly followed him across the road. Baili Pangpang trailed behind, pulling his suitcase.

Hongying opened the door. Her lovely eyes swept over the three of them before settling on Baili Pangpang. She asked curiously, "Who's this young man?"

"The person I'm protecting for a job. He's staying one night, and he's paying for the room!"

"I see!"

"Oh, I saved dinner for you. It's still warming in the pot!"

"Go eat first!"

Hongying smiled gently, her two little dimples adding a touch of lively charm. Her tone was warm and welcoming.

Baili Pangpang looked at Wang Quan, then at Lin Qiye, his mind racing. Suddenly enlightened, he turned to Hongying with a sweet, well-behaved expression and chirped:

"Hello, sister-in-law!"

"My name's Baili Tu Ming. You can just call me Pangpang!"

"Oh my! Oh my!"

"Brother Quan didn't even invite me to his wedding. Consider this my wedding gift!"

As he spoke, Baili Pangpang pushed the suitcase toward the bashful Hongying.

"No, no, no, Pangpang... no... Brother Baili, Wang Quan and I aren't like that!" The more Hongying explained, the redder her face grew. She just deeply admired Wang Quan because he was strong and had protected so many people.

"Oh, I get it!"

"So you're boyfriend and girlfriend, huh? Looks like I haven't missed Brother Quan's wedding."

"But I can't skip the introductory gift. Keep this suitcase of gold, sister-in-law. You can put it toward baby formula!"

Even Wang Quan was embarrassed by his words. Lin Qiye simply struggled to hold back his laughter, inwardly admiring him. Brother Pangpang, you're amazing! I love seeing that white-haired bastard squirm!

"Chubby, I'm just staying here temporarily!"

"Stop making things up!"

He rapped Baili Pangpang on the head, trying to shut him up.

"Hiss..."

"Ow, ow, ow!"

Baili Pangpang clutched his head, crying out in pain.

"Um, I'll go get a room ready. You... you guys go eat!"

"Ahahaha, see you in a bit!"

Hongying hurried away in a fluster.

"Wait, you haven't accepted the gift!"

"Whatever your relationship is, you still have to accept an introductory gift!"

Just then, Si Xiaonan emerged from the kitchen in a Lotso bear onesie, a slice of bread still between her teeth. She happened to hear Baili Pangpang speaking, but caught only one key phrase: "Brother Quan's wife."

"Wow!"

The bread fell to the floor. Si Xiaonan's face lit up with delighted surprise. She didn't have many hobbies-she just loved gossip.

"I think Sister Hongying's really nice. Why not give it a shot?" Lin Qiye egged him on from the side.

Seeing Si Xiaonan's expression, Wang Quan helplessly pressed a hand to his forehead. This... the more they talked, the messier it got. All he wanted to say was, "It's not what it looks like."
