After recovering his sight, he wanted to repay her by remaining with his family, which also included his younger cousin and their dog, Little Black Scab. This attachment initially outweighed his interest in divine power or the Night Watchers 6.

Zhao Kongcheng identified him as Michael’s agent after his encounter with a god. Wang Quan then used his domain to impart information about the mist, gods, mental realms, and the Night Watchers. Lin Qiye nevertheless refused recruitment until Wang Quan warned that the Ancient God Church targeted gods’ agents and could endanger their families 5 6.

He values loyalty beyond established friendships. Although he had known Baili Pangpang for fewer than three days, he refused to leave him to the Blood Wolves. He later applied the same principle to Shen Qingzhu, rescuing him because they had fought together and recognizing his loyalty to his followers 18 19 49.

Usually polite and meticulous, Lin Qiye becomes openly sarcastic around Wang Quan. He repeatedly challenges Wang Quan’s boast that he is his master, but gradually trusts him as a protector and teacher.
