Those words were like a judge's gavel striking in a courtroom, only the blows landed on their hearts!
With every word, their hearts trembled.
Kamo Xu did not speak slowly, but to Aoi Todo and Mai Zenin, his words seemed to slow endlessly, letting them hear every syllable with perfect clarity.
"First: did you come here with the intention of hurting others..."
As the first question rang out, Aoi Todo could clearly feel the pressure on him multiply. It was as though a mountain had suddenly landed on his shoulders, forcing him to lower himself just to resist it!
Mai Zenin, however, did not feel anything nearly so severe. Apart from the anxiety of seeing Kamo Xu in person, nothing else weighed on her.
The muscular fellow claimed to have an IQ of thirty thousand. Though the pressure left his body rigid and unable to fight back, he did not panic excessively. He calmly considered Kamo Xu's seemingly meaningless question.
Could it be...
He wanted to warn Mai Zenin, but as Aoi Todo resisted the pressure, that momentary distraction stalled the warning on his lips.
In that brief instant of hesitation, Mai Zenin shouted anxiously:
"No! We only came to say hello!"

Aoi Todo looked at the girl who had already blurted out her answer and shook his head helplessly. He straightened against the pressure and, instead, gave his own answer with a smile.
"That's right. I came here to pick a fight!"
