There were probably only a hundred thousand or so aliens on Amat Eiro, a very small number by interstellar standards.
This Criminal Enterprise branch was far from M'tok headquarters, and there was also the risk of Xi Yan secretly wiping them out. Thus, the M'tok Union had not sent a full Stellaris population unit in one go, instead dispatching only this handful of employees to "develop the market."
Still, they had fallen one move short of bringing the entire Interstellar Human Military Junta to a standstill.
After all, if a mere few hundred thousand aliens could make Xi Yan overheat with rage, then sending an entire population unit-a hundred million alien species-and letting them successfully land would greatly increase the odds of him dying of a rage-induced heart attack. (Just kidding.)
On Amat Eiro II, the obviously modified cargo ship hurtled across half the urban area and landed at the Criminal Enterprise's temporary branch on the other side of the city.
Xi Yan's construction crews had enclosed this branch with high walls, and factory districts surrounded it on all sides.
Inside the temporary branch, neat rows of houses clustered around several large public facilities.
Gates in all four cardinal directions led out into the surrounding city. That was only out of consideration for interstellar humanitarianism; otherwise, Xi Yan would have staged the 2206 Siege of Berlin long ago.
With its Ion Thrusters roaring, the heavily modified transport ship, over a hundred meters long, drew close to the ground. Its cargo hatch flew open, and hundreds of burly masked men wearing red armbands dropped out, carrying bizarre-looking homemade weapons.
"This ship's cooling is pretty good. My hands are freezing!" Xie Wendong led the way, rubbing his hands before grabbing his weapon and jumping off the ship.
