Legendary paragon and Space Genesis Creator Aeshlin hailed from Aeshatia, a distant planet absent from all records.
She was one of the handful of legendary paragons in Stellaris.
Every legendary paragon was someone one could only encounter by chance, never seek out. Under the Empire's laws, each was entitled to treatment second only to that of Cabinet officials.
Aeshlin was one of the legendary leaders entitled to this honor.
What was space genesis studies?
It was a discipline Aeshlin had created herself, with the aim of transforming barren planets into worlds teeming with life and suitable for habitation.
Barren worlds made up the vast majority of solid planets in the Stellaris universe. These planets lacked habitable atmospheres, their surfaces usually covered in cooled lava and cracked rock, with zero habitability.
But through Aeshlin's [space genesis studies], she could transform such a barren planet into a vibrant Gaia Planet suitable for the vast majority of life.
Even Gaia Planets differed from one another, as had been explained back when Amat Eiro II was colonized.
On a true Gaia Planet in the strictest sense, such as the holy world [Prophet's Retreat] within the Empire's borders, every latitude and every corner of the planet brimmed with dense psionics, making it suitable for every living creature. Those psionics even made it radiate golden light in space.
But the "Gaia Planets" Aeshlin terraformed were, at most, ordinary planets habitable for most organisms. They were still that one spoonful of psionics short of becoming true Gaia holy worlds.
Still, that was enough.
If she perfected her theory, most barren worlds in the universe could be transformed, restored to life, and turned into future colonies.
Ordinary planetary terraforming had no such capability.
That was the power of space genesis studies.
Almost every star system contained two or
