Even though Amat Eiro II was this alien species' native home, the wave of colonization driven by Xi Yan left it only one path: becoming a colony of the Interstellar Human Military Junta.

There was no kindness or human rights to speak of in the universe, only interests and survival.

"Yes!"

Ningdi Lingling answered firmly, then gave the order: "Begin the operation. Deploy the Landing Pod!"

The Corvette hovering above the green planet opened its aft hatch, and the Landing Ship carrying over a thousand Colonial Pioneers slid into space. Its Chemical Thrusters spewed scorching gas and flames, propelling the Landing Pod toward the emerald planet.

Through a round porthole, the robot Xi Yan, clinging to a colonist's back, saw Science Ship One hovering just outside the planet's atmosphere. Visible blue scanning beams shone from its bow all the way down to the surface.

After surveying the planet, the Science Ship's final report stated that its climate was highly unusual. Most organic life in the universe could adapt to it perfectly, making it "a planet exceptionally well suited to colonization."

Xi Yan was ecstatic.

According to the ancient Lost Empire, this kind of planet was called a [Gaia Planet].

[Empire Log: Gaia Planet] [Clearly, this beautiful green planet, Amat Eiro II, is a Gaia Planet with a nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere, a self-repairing ecosystem, and ideal habitats for advanced life at every latitude. Most certain of all, this wonderful planet will belong to our Interstellar Human Military Junta.] [Xi Yan's directive: How fortunate. We can hardly wait to erect human buildings on it.]

What was a Gaia Planet?

It offered 100% habitability for any life-form, along with districts rich in all kinds of rare resources. It was truly the unrivaled choice for colonization!

Of course, certain Fallen Empires, such as the [Holy World Guardians], designated some Gaia Planets as their empire's Holy Worlds. No nation was allowed to colonize them, or it would incur that Fallen Empire's wrath.

But there was clearly a civilization capable of sub-light speed travel on this planet, so it most likely was not a Holy World.

If it really were a Holy World, that Fallen Empire would have contacted them and issued a warning long ago.

In other words, this was an unclaimed Gaia Planet.

Then-then it belongs to our Interstellar Human Military Junta!

The Landing Ship plunged into the Gaia Planet's atmosphere. Its hull, made from advanced alloys, remained unchanged despite the intense friction.

Just like that, the entire ship fell straight toward the ground.

The surrounding noise grew louder and louder. Everything heralded an imminent battle.

Xi Yan felt the mood building, just like the background music that played before a game began!

He needed to give his colonists some encouragement!

"My valiant Colonial Pioneers, are you afraid?"

Xi Yan's voice drowned out the noise and echoed throughout the ship.

"No!"

These young, brave colonists from the Hyacinth roared their answer.

"Why aren't you afraid?" Xi Yan asked loudly, using a mechanical arm to hold the amplifier in front of the colonist carrying him.

"Because he's kind." (Instant answer.)

"Because we're taking back our own land!" the young colonist shouted excitedly.

"Exactly!"

Xi Yan declared excitedly, "This has been humanity's territory since ancient times! We will drive out those damned alien species and turn them into our dinner!"

"Compatriots! We are working together to accomplish something great-expanding humanity's territory into the universe!"

"Good soldier, what is your name?" Xi Yan patted the shoulder of the colonist carrying him with a mechanical arm.

"Marshal, sir! My name is David! David Newland!" the sturdy young man said excitedly.

Newland? New land!

"Good, David! You are a brave warrior!" Xi Yan praised him loudly. "And not just you-every one of you is a warrior worthy of respect!"

The more Xi Yan spoke, the more worked up he became, and the more infectious his voice grew. "You are the greatest pioneers! You may fall in the first wave of the assault, but do not be afraid!"

"The Empire will give your families the finest treatment! After you, thousands upon thousands will follow in your footsteps. Forward, forward! Until this planet becomes humanity's territory!"

Xi Yan had spoken himself into a red-eyed frenzy! Through the porthole, he seemed to see, far upstream in the river of time, a famous leader, an outstanding orator, an unappreciated painter beckoning to him!

Public speaking ability: max. Ability to stir emotions: max!

I'm terrifyingly powerful right now!

Xi Yan roared as he raised the weapon mounted on his other mechanical arm: "Humanity will prevail!"

"Humanity will prevail!"

A unified, thunderous roar resounded throughout the Landing Ship.

It was also humanity's first cry to shake the cosmos.

[Empire Log: Landing] [Amid a deafening roar, the first colonists landed on the surface of Amat Eiro II. This vibrant planet welcomed its new masters. It will become our Empire's first colony and serve us forever.] [Xi Yan's directive: That scene-so full of vitality, with all things flourishing... is still right before my eyes!]
