If he shouted for Mew in a crisis someday and got no response, embarrassment would be the least of his worries. His life would be on the line!

Mew covered its little mouth and gave a huge yawn, then waved at Ye Qing and vanished into thin air.

Watching Mew suddenly disappear, Ye Qing felt rather helpless. I haven't even gotten to any of my smooth talk yet. Why not give me a chance to show off?

Still, fooling Mew was practically a pipe dream. As the first Pokémon born in this world, it had lived through so many years. How could a few words possibly fool it?

"Riruru."

Kirlia floated over to Ye Qing with the Pokémon Egg in her arms, wanting to ask what they would do next.

First, he needed to take care of this Pokémon Egg. After that, it would be time to challenge his third Gym.

Ye Qing released Aerodactyl and had him fly toward shore first.

At a dock in a coastal city, hundreds of people and Pokémon appeared out of thin air in an open space.

Their eyes were somewhat dazed as they looked around and sank into thought.

"What date is it? Holy shit, I'm late, I'm late! The big event on New Island must be over already!"

"Were you heading to New Island too, buddy?"

"What the hell? How did I end up here?"

Cynthia had a terrible headache. She leaned against the railing, her vision a blur.

"Champion, what's wrong?"

Dragon Tamer found it rather strange. Hadn't she been perfectly fine earlier?

"Take a look at Gyarados and you'll understand."

Cynthia sighed helplessly, feeling that not a single one of these people was reliable.

Dragon Tamer was baffled. What did she mean, he would understand once he let Gyarados out?
