Chapters 526–550 Vol. 6 Read

Ch. 526The little prince of Snorlax

Ye Qing used Milotic’s Cute Charm to defeat Mu Guo’s first Snorlax, then faced a second Snorlax with a terrain-changing strategy. The second Snorlax launched itself toward Milotic with Rollout as the match continued.

  • Ye Qing’s Milotic froze herself and Snorlax together, allowing Mu Guo’s Snorlax to use Fling and slam her into the muddy ground.
  • Milotic wrapped around Snorlax with Coil, and repeated contact triggered Cute Charm, leaving him infatuated and unable to follow Mu Guo’s commands.
  • Milotic broke free and struck Snorlax with three Aqua Tails, knocking him out.
  • Mu Guo sent out a second Snorlax, which used Defense Curl while Ye Qing had Milotic rise into the air and Recover.

Ch. 530Queen in the Rain

Ye Qing used Aggron’s defensive Rock Tomb and electricity-grounding strategy to defeat Chen Siyuan’s Magnezone, then sent Milotic in to take advantage of the rain. Milotic defeated Slowbro, and the battle continued against Flygon as the rain remained in effect.

  • Aggron endured Magnezone’s Thunderbolt, grounded some of its electricity through his tail, and defeated Magnezone with Reversal.
  • Chen Siyuan sent out Slowbro and used Rain Dance, but Aggron struck it with Earthquake before Ye Qing recalled him to avoid Water Pulse.
  • Milotic put Slowbro to sleep with Hypnosis, then defeated him with Ice Beam and Surf.
  • Chen Siyuan sent out Flygon, which dodged Milotic’s Surf from the air and used Sandstorm, but the rain persisted because of Milotic’s Damp Rock.
  • The Ghost-type Elite Four member questioned Ye Qing’s access to valuable items, and the Fighting-type Elite Four member angrily insulted him.

  • Ye Qing had Milotic hide in the water-filled pit and defeat Chen Siyuan's Flygon with Ice Beam after Flygon's third Protect failed.
  • Chen Siyuan recalled Flygon and joked that he could not fool his own heart, while the arena laughed at his repeated wagers involving his brothers' happiness and his own girlfriend.
  • Ye Qing, Luo Moyun, and the other fourteen contestants advanced, filling the round of sixteen; Ye Qing recognized ten of the remaining competitors.
  • Ye Qing took his companions to the Pokémon Center for checkups before returning to the venue for the afternoon matches.

  • Ye Qing and Xie Yu were drawn as the first quarterfinal opponents, while Zhu Yuanhao urged Xie Yu to fight hard for the prize money.
  • An investigation team reported evidence implicating Zhu Yuanhao and the others as Pokémon Hunters, while noting Xie Yu’s case might involve hidden circumstances and Elite Four members; the Dragon Tamer ordered their secret arrest.
  • The tournament selected Water Terrain for the match, and Xie Yu learned through his earpiece that their identities had been exposed and the Enforcement Team was coming.
  • Xie Yu asked Ye Qing for an all-out battle, and Ye Qing agreed before sending out Milotic.
  • Xie Yu sent out a six-meter Totem Serperior with Contrary and Leaf Storm, prompting Ye Qing to realize that its stat-lowering move could instead raise its Special Attack.

Ch. 535An unexpected turn at the tournament (Thanks to Unlucky One Gambling Boat for the Top Supporter Badge!)

Ye Qing’s Milotic battled Xie Yu’s Serperior, repeatedly interrupting its powerful Leaf Storm until Xie Yu abruptly conceded and fled the tournament with help from Zhu Yuanhao. Ye Qing was declared the winner as the Patrol Team pursued the escapees and the tournament continued.

  • Ye Qing had Milotic attack Serperior instead of opening with Rain Dance, and Milotic’s Aqua Tail struck Serperior even as Glare paralyzed it.
  • Xie Yu ordered Leaf Storm, but Milotic cleared its paralysis with Refresh and interrupted the move with Hydro Pump.
  • Serperior tried draining Milotic’s stamina and then used Protect to set up Leaf Storm, but Ye Qing’s attacks kept it from gaining the advantage.
  • Ye Qing used Rain Dance to strengthen Milotic’s Hydro Pump, while Serperior’s repeated Leaf Storms grew more powerful and cracked Milotic’s Protect barrier.
  • Zhu Yuanhao fled the arena on Pidgeot, and Xie Yu conceded before escaping with Malamar as the Patrol Team moved to capture them.
  • The host announced Ye Qing as the winner, and a Dragonite and a line of Pidgeot flew over the venue as the tournament continued.

Ch. 536A desperate escape

Xie Yu, Zhu Yuanhao, and Chen Siyuan fought to escape Dragon Tamer, while Ye Qing diverted their pursuer by summoning him with information about the DNA Splicers. Dragon Tamer returned to the chase after hearing the secret, and Ye Qing was left hoping the three brothers had gotten away.

  • Ye Qing told Dragon Tamer that Kyurem controlled the DNA Splicers and that the Black and White Dragons could not fight back against it.
  • Dragon Tamer recorded the information and left to resume the pursuit, while Ye Qing ordered food on his tab.

Ch. 537Steamrolling All the Way

  • Infernape used Low Kick and Mach Punch to disrupt Blaziken, then drew it into Counter Shield with Agility.
  • Ye Qing had Infernape trap Blaziken with Fire Spin and restrict it to Double Kick with Encore, allowing Infernape to build strength and land Focus Punch.
  • Blaziken’s Protect briefly blocked a Focus Punch, but Infernape held it by the foot and struck first with Mach Punch when Long Zinuo ordered High Jump Kick.
  • The host declared Blaziken unable to battle and awarded the win to Infernape.

Ch. 550Evenly matched! (Thanks to: Zi Jun for another Master certification!)

Ye Qing’s Gardevoir and Luo Moyun’s Metagross both lost the ability to battle after Explosion, and their next Pokémon traded attacks until Aggron and Cryogonal also went down. Ye Qing sent out Absol to face Luo Moyun’s Serperior, leaving Infernape in reserve for the coming fight against Charizard.

  • Ye Qing’s Gardevoir repeatedly used Teleport until Luo Moyun ordered Metagross to use Explosion, knocking both Pokémon out.
