Inside the Little Shop.
Dugu Bo sheepishly drew his neck back, his face tinged with embarrassment.
After thinking it over, he could only ease his embarrassment by opening jars.
Crack.
The jar shattered, and something round tumbled out.
It was none other than a Sky Tree Fruit.
"Haha, good stuff!"
To Lin Xiao's surprise, Dugu Bo actually looked delighted.
"Grandpa, did someone knock you silly?"
Dugu Yan frowned. She had two of these herself and had yet to use them.
But she did not think they were particularly useful.
"Not useful?"
Dugu Bo laughed. "Yanyan, you're wrong about that. The Sky Tree Fruit deserves a good deal of credit for your grandpa escaping that bastard Tang Hao. Never mind anything else-I blasted him away three times with Sky Tree Fruits alone."
"This is a lifesaving artifact. Never underestimate it."
"Really?" Dugu Yan froze.
Being hunted down was embarrassing, after all, so no matter how Dugu Yan had questioned him, Dugu Bo had never told her the truth.
Only now did she learn a few scraps of what had happened from Dugu Bo.
"Of course." Dugu Bo said earnestly, "Never underestimate anything you get from the Little Shop. You never know when it might prove incredibly useful and give you a wonderful surprise."
Hearing this, Dugu Yan nodded, then suddenly asked, "Are Wild Strawberries and Mountain Grapes useful too?"
"Uh..."
Dugu Bo first paused, then nodded. "Of course. When you're about to starve to death, they can tide you over..."
Dugu Yan: "..."
That one sentence left her choking on her words, completely at a loss for what to say.
"Just keep opening jars."
Dugu Yan spoke with a resentful look.
Dugu Bo smiled and said nothing more.
Crack.
Another jar was smashed, and white light flashed.
Lin Xiao looked over.
