After defeating Guyue, Xu Taiping reunited with Sis and the Buddha Child’s family, then faced a fresh attack by hidden demonic beasts.

• Xu Taiping refused Venerable Jiaye’s commission to protect the Buddha Child at Vairocana Chan Temple, but Jiaye shattered his Teleportation Token and pulled him there anyway.
• Xu Taiping revived after being killed at the temple and, with Fairy Lingyue’s help, uncovered and killed werewolf infiltrators, including Huide and Huikong.
• Xu Taiping used the All Beings Are Equal Prayer Beads to reinforce the temple’s formation and received the Evil-Delivering Asura armor as the werewolf army besieged the monks.
• As the formation failed, Xu Taiping defended the Single-Plank Bridge, combined the Cicada Cry Form with the Immortal-Rending Slash, and killed Red Hair, Gray Eye, and Demon Venerable Black Wood.

Xu Taiping joined the Mysterious Cloud Martial Hall, discovered a Heaven-Sealing Stone that could help save Azure Profound Sect, and faced the Seven Tribulations Curse. He won the Coiling Dragon Tower at auction and left for the Blood Rain Forest while the Qi Household prepared an ambush.

• Xu Taiping rescued the Buddha Child, and a Buddha commanded the Youyun Chan School to raise the child and resolve its karma before judgment.
• Fairy Lingyue revealed her past as Yuezhu and explained the risks of the One-Leaf Book’s mark, while Xu Taiping chose to stay with her and pursue a breakthrough.
• Xu Taiping arrived at the Mysterious Cloud Martial Hall, defended Lu Yun and Lu Wen from Ma Wenxuan and Jiang Wu, and learned that Lu Rushuang had left a jade box for an Azure Profound Sect disciple.
• Xu Taiping opened the box and absorbed most of its Heaven-Sealing Stone into his left eye, which showed him possible futures and seven fatal calamities tied to the Seven Tribulations Curse.

Xu Taiping survived the Ghost Pagoda trap, then set out for Fengze Pavilion as the Blood Demon Ancestor and Fire Cloud Temple attacked the Imperial Capital. Zhu Huai defended the capital, while Xu Taiping’s tribulation began with the crushing of Old Daoist Huang’s porcelain figurine.

• Xu Taiping and Monk Chongde exposed Young Master Zhu as a Ghost King, but Qing'er revealed herself as a second Ghost King and attacked them.
• Xu Taiping summoned Venerable Jiaye’s Demon-Subduing Seal, defeated the second Ghost King, and ended the Ghost Pagoda Domain.
• Chu Xiaoxiao told Xu Taiping that Wangchuan Great Prison had been breached, so he ordered his allies to leave the Imperial Capital and set out for the Blood Rain Forest.
• Old Daoist Huang foretold Xu Taiping’s death, then gave him a porcelain figurine to crush at Fengze Pavilion, the site of his fifth tribulation.
• The Blood Demon Ancestor and Fire Cloud Temple attacked the Imperial Capital, broke its defenses, and sought the Fortune Pearl while Old Daoist Huang and the city’s defenders fought back.
• Zhu Huai returned to defend the capital, defeated the attackers, and negotiated a six-year transfer of Chu Kingdom’s fortune to Old Daoist Huang.
• Xu Taiping reached Fengze Pavilion and sent a clone inside to scout before making it crush Old Daoist Huang’s figurine, summoning an unseen presence.

Xu Taiping joined Monk Xuanzhi on a dangerous journey through the Blood Rain Forest, where they pursued the Spirit Bone Stele and tried to save Wan Qianhu. The arc left Xu Taiping inside the water prison as Wan Qianhu faced a choice between enduring torture and revealing Zhang Tianze’s secret.

• Xu Taiping recognized Yunque of the Ten Thousand Sword Tower after helping him escape the Toad Demon, then refused Shi Kai’s offer to join the Ghost Axe Sect group.
• Xu Taiping traveled with Monk Xuanzhi and learned that the monk was returning to Apricot Blossom Village to deliver alms to ghosts beneath it.
• Fairy Lingyue taught Xu Taiping the Six Livestock Prosperity Spell, which Xuanzhi used to manipulate Shi Kai and subdue the Mountain Sprite.
• Xu Taiping led Xuanzhi and his companions through the Blood Rain Forest, fought Demon Monk Zhenwu, and learned that Xuanzhi’s spell could turn demons and beasts against one another.
• After a Red Dragon Cavalry soldier warned them that Wan Qianhu was carrying a secret report about an assassination plot against Zhang Tianze, Xu Taiping agreed to search Golden Toad Valley for the Spirit Bone Stele.
• Xuanzhi identified the eight pillars needed to break the Mahavairocana Mudra, while Princess Tiancheng gave Xu Taiping the Twin Carp Pearl and Immortal Sword White Colt with instructions from her master.
• Xu Taiping and Xuanzhi entered Demonic Flood Dragon Pool to retrieve the pillars and rescue Wan Qianhu as Xu Taiping’s clones drew their enemies away.
