Major Events and History
Freshman Spiritual Power Control Competition
The academy holds a freshman competition testing spiritual power shaping, racing, and puzzle-solving. Lin Yu arranges for Fengyun Club experts to enter in hopes of damaging Ye Lingyun’s reputation, but Ye Lingyun wins the championship, narrowly defeating Li Qiang in puzzle-solving 24.
Academy Exchange Conference
One of the academy’s major events each academic year, the Exchange Conference brings together its teachers and students with representatives from other academies. Activities include martial technique demonstrations, alchemy, and group spirit array construction 25 26.
The Fengyun Club and Proud World Alliance attempt to sabotage Ye Lingyun’s participation by contaminating his alchemy furnace and damaging his group’s array nodes. He detects the furnace interference, produces an excellent Essence-Returning Pill, and repairs the array. The principal praises him at the banquet for bringing honor to the academy 26.
Ruins Expedition
Lingxi Academy jointly organizes a ruins expedition with several other top academies to develop students’ combat skills and exploration experience. Lin Yu and Zhao Tianba bribe the instructor assigning exploration groups and alter Ye Lingyun’s route, sending his team into the ruins’ most dangerous area 27.
Ye Lingyun leads Li Hao, Wang Li, Zhang Feng, and Chen Yao through the hazards. The squad reaches an ancient temple, obtains the information needed to control the Mystic Crystal, and shuts down the runaway spiritual power source before escaping 27 28.
Corruption Investigation and Commendation
After the expedition, the hostile factions spread rumors about Ye Lingyun, restrict his cultivation resources, and obstruct his assessments. He gathers evidence of bullying, corruption, and unfair practices rather than confronting the coalition directly 29.
When a well-liked instructor disappears, Ye Lingyun submits a public report covering the coalition’s wrongdoing and its possible connection to the disappearance. The headmaster’s investigation confirms most of the allegations, leading to the dissolution of both student organizations and punishment of implicated members of the Established Factions 29.
The academy subsequently awards Ye Lingyun the Lingxi Medal, its highest honor, for exposing corruption and defending justice 30.
Lingxi Star Tournament Homecoming
Ye Lingyun and his teammates leave to compete in the Lingxi Star Tournament after training together. Following their championship victory, they decline recruitment offers from major factions and return to Lingxi Academy to share their success and continue cultivating 30 40.
The faculty and students welcome them enthusiastically, and the headmaster hosts a victory banquet celebrating their achievement as evidence of the academy’s educational philosophy and training methods 40.
