Ancient Ascendants and Invasion

The Dou Qi Continent once ranked among the three strongest lower planes, giving its ascended lineage considerable strength in the Great Thousand World. Its experts nevertheless remained below the native Primordial Races until the True Flame Emperor reached Heavenly Sovereign approximately fifty thousand years before Xiao Yan’s era 336.

Less than a thousand years later, the Extraterrestrial Evil Race invaded. Nearly half the Great Thousand World’s lands fell, and its greatest expert sacrificed his life to seal the Evil God. Numerous ascendants from the Dou Qi Continent died, including the True Flame Emperor 336.

Isolation of the Dou Qi Continent

The Heavenly Derivation Supreme sacrificed himself to conceal the Dou Qi Continent within a great array. The severed connection ended the renewal of origin qi and contributed to the decline of inherited disciplines such as talismans and formations. The continent’s calendar began with this event, remembered as the Severing of Heaven and Earth 285 336.

Tou She Ancient God also sealed the passage to prevent the continent’s coordinates from exposing it to the evil race. Later Dou Di could only attempt to find the Great Thousand World through dangerous, unguided journeys. Concealment and continued drifting eventually carried the continent far from its former position near the upper world 590 727.

Renewed Ascension

With the evil race awakening early, Tou She Ancient God arranged for Xiao Yan and the other Dou Di to leave before the passage could safely be reopened permanently. Xiao Xuan ultimately stayed behind to protect their homeland; Xiao Yan and the Second-Generation Soul Emperor ascended together and emerged on the Fallen Battlefield 590 594 595.

Xiao Yan subsequently learned the world’s cultivation system in Luo Shen City. His rise drew the attention of its major powers, and Qin Tian later rallied Heavenly Sovereigns to retrieve him from beyond its borders, calling him a future pillar of the Great Thousand World 601 674 704.

Settlement of the Dou Qi Continent Lineage

Xiao Yan transported his homeland to the Great Thousand World’s edge over six months. His attempt to merge the entire continent failed: foreign laws and spiritual energy compressed its land and endangered its inhabitants, while shielding them caused overwhelming backlash 727 728.

He instead left the continent nearby under a Chaos Furnace’s protection and sought territory within the world. After establishing a spatial passage, he transported willing experts to his new lands. The resulting Endless Fire Domain formally opened five years after its founding, attracting hundreds of Heavenly Sovereigns and representatives from more than half the world’s superpowers 729 734 762.

Lower-Plane Recovery and Final War

The prolonged defense of the Great Thousand World had left its experts unable to clear many occupied lower planes. Xiao Yan’s campaigns forced the evil race to surrender more than a hundred large planes and withdraw from countless others. He also pressed the world’s factions not to disturb inhabited liberated planes 769 770 771.

During the final battle, the Heavenly Evil God released billions of demonic streams to corrupt the world. Having reached the Ruler Realm, Xiao Yan gathered its inhabitants’ life spirit fires to burn away the attack, trapped the enemy within a world-enclosing Chaos Furnace, and refined him for three days. He then returned the flames to their owners, strengthening them 783.

Postwar Era

The occupied half of the Great Thousand World was reclaimed. Its major powers assigned the two richest recovered supercontinents to the Endless Fire Domain, while extensive territories remained open for exploration and development 784.

Over the following thirty-seven years, new superpowers and top experts continued to emerge. The Endless Fire Domain remained dominant, producing more than one hundred Heavenly Sovereigns—including more than five Saint Grade experts—under Xiao Yan’s guidance 784.
