"Creak!"
As the door was pushed open, a beautiful figure entered the room carrying food.
It was Bibi Dong.
After a night of recovery, Bibi Dong's presence was no longer so overbearing. It had softened considerably.
Although her lovely face remained expressionless, it was no longer so cold.
"Are you all right now?"
Bibi Dong set the food on the table and asked Zhao Su, who was sitting cross-legged on the bed.
"I'm fine. I haven't fully recovered to my peak yet, but defending myself won't be a problem."
As he spoke, Zhao Su got out of bed and sat down at the table.
Looking at the steamed buns, three dishes, and egg soup on the table, Zhao Su realized he really was hungry. Without standing on ceremony, he began wolfing down the food.
"Mm."
Bibi Dong sat there, offering only a quiet acknowledgment before falling silent again.
As he ate, Zhao Su asked Bibi Dong through a mouthful of food, "You came to see me so early. Surely you weren't just here to bring me breakfast?"
"Of course not. We'll talk once you've finished eating!"
"Good."
A little over ten minutes later, having eaten and drunk his fill, Zhao Su stood and stretched comfortably before continuing, "Tell me, what is it?"
"After the Rakshasa Demon Scythe absorbed my Death Spider Emperor and Soul-Devouring Spider Emperor yesterday and fused them into a new Spider Emperor, I kept feeling that something was wrong!"
As she spoke, Bibi Dong released her new martial soul.
An enormous phantom spider appeared behind her, blood-red from head to toe and sporting eight legs.
Six red Hundred Thousand Year Soul Rings hovered around the blood-red Rakshasa Spider Emperor.
