Led by the Purple-Clad Soul Master, Tang San and Xiao Wu passed through one dense grove after another. Beneath the evening glow, the shimmering seawater reflected countless colored lights, and at the center of its embrace stood a small island.
A faint golden glow enveloped the island. At its summit stood a square, domed building that looked as though it had been carved from white jade.
"Sea God Hall. I, Tang San, have finally returned," Tang San murmured.
Gazing toward the Sea God Mountain Summit, Tang San saw Sea God Douluo Bo Saixi standing quietly there in her red Worshipper Robe, looking in his direction.
But the sight of Bo Saixi startled Tang San. In his memory, she had been a beautiful woman who looked to be in her thirties, her beauty no less than Bibi Dong's. Noble, elegant, gentle, and reserved, she had seemed utterly beyond reach. How had she become like this?
Although Bo Saixi still wore a red robe and leaned on the Golden Scepter, and even her azure eyes remained as deep as the ocean, her beauty was gone. Her skin was withered, her hair white as crane feathers, and her aged face made her seem like a candle guttering in the wind, liable to vanish with the next gust.
"Tang San, how did you end up looking like this? Come up first." Bo Saixi recognized Tang San at a glance. Her brows creased slightly before she spoke in a low voice.
Despite the great distance between them, her voice reached Tang San's ears clearly. In other words, although Bo Saixi's appearance had aged, her strength remained.
Hearing this, Tang San patted Xiao Wu's shoulder, signaling for her to wait here, then quickened his pace toward Sea God Hall.
