  • Wears crystalline dark-purple armor covering her torso and limbs, with a battle skirt and a partially enclosing headpiece bearing fish-gill-like patterns 356.
  • Carries a purple giant hammer 356.

Personality

Xiao Wu is eager to fight and quick to retaliate against insults. She enthusiastically joins Ma Hongjun’s revenge expedition, attacks the supposed “Yan Xiao” before establishing what happened, and continues attacking even after Tang San tries to stop her. Her confidence sometimes exceeds her ability to judge an opponent’s strength 20 81 82.

Her attachment to rabbits fuels a persistent hatred of Xiao Yan. She regards the rabbits he kills and eats as her descendants, and her anger drives her to ambush him after an arena concession 41 81 86 94.

Toward Tang San, she is affectionate, emotionally dependent, and willing to sacrifice herself. She calls him her only family and asks him to promise never to leave her. That loyalty eventually breaks when she becomes convinced that he killed Da Ming and Er Ming 121 134 355 356.

Abilities & Skills

Soft Bone Rabbit Martial Soul

Her beast martial soul emphasizes agility, powerful legs, and close-range combat 53 82.

  • Uses kicks, leaps, and rapid changes of position to attack 82 169.
  • Incorporates her long braid into grappling techniques 82 204.
  • Cannot naturally fly; relies on Oscar’s Flying Mushroom Sausages for aerial combat 169.

Waist Bow

Her first soul skill is a close-range offensive technique 204.

  • Combines it with Instantaneous Shift to appear directly before an opponent and attack 204.

Charm

Her second soul skill stuns an opponent through a contest of spiritual power 82.

  • The stun’s duration depends on the difference between her spiritual power and the target’s 82.
  • A sufficiently stronger target causes backlash; using it against Xiao Yan leaves her unconscious 82.
  • Briefly disrupts Lei Tian’s attack, giving her time to reposition 169.

Instantaneous Shift

Her third soul skill allows sudden repositioning in combat 82 169.

  • Repeated airborne shifts prevent Lei Tian from renewing his Eagle Eye Lock-On 169.
  • Lets her appear between Dai Weisi and Zhu Zhuyun before they complete their martial soul fusion 198.
  • Can be restricted by control skills: Lei Dong’s Thunder Net prevents her from using it while she remains within its influence 169.

Invincible Golden Body

Her fourth soul skill envelops her in golden light and grants three seconds of immunity to physical attacks 198 205.

  • Withstands Dai Weisi’s enhanced tiger-paw strike and a Soul Saint’s Void-Piercing Thorn 198 241.
  • Creates an opening for her own throws or Tang San’s counterattack 205 241.
  • Does not prevent Xiao Yan’s Eight Extremes Collapse from injuring her internally when its eight layers of hidden force erupt 205.

Soft Bone Lock

Her fifth soul skill uses her entire body to immobilize an opponent 241.

  • Pink light forms armor over her arms and legs before she locks herself around the target 241.
  • A restrained opponent cannot quickly escape unless their strength is more than twice hers 241.
  • Holds an agility-attack Soul Saint in place for Tang San to strike 241.

Explosive Eight-Stage Throw

A self-created grappling technique that uses her legs, flexibility, and braid to throw an opponent 82 204.

  • Previously cripples an adult Soul Master who molested an academy girl 82.
  • Severely injures Ma Hongjun when he leads her to a secluded place while his evil fire is raging 100.
  • Can be interrupted before she establishes a hold: Xiao Yan catches her braid, hurls her away, and tears out a tuft of hair 82.

Soul Sacrifice

Xiao Wu burns her life force and sacrifices both her life and soul to give herself entirely to Tang San 242.

  • Allows her hundred-thousand-year soul ring to merge with him regardless of his strength or whether he currently needs another ring 242.
  • Transfers her soul ring and soul bone to him 243 245.
  • Risks removing her from the cycle of rebirth permanently 242.
  • Tang San believes using the abilities she gave him would harm her surviving soul 245.

Powers Acquired Through Other Bodies

  • Tang San’s body: Uses the Clear Sky Hammer, Sea God Trident, and Gravity Mire under his guidance, killing pursuing Spirit Hall Soul Douluos 337 338.
  • Demonic Whale King’s body: Inherits demigod strength and attacks Tang San with purple Thunder Beads; he absorbs them with Unfixed Wind Wave 356.

History

Nuoding Academy

Xiao Wu enters Dorm Seven and introduces herself with a rabbit martial soul. After provoking Xiao Yan and being scorched by him, she returns to the dormitory and proposes pushing her bed together with Tang San’s to share his quilt. She later declares herself Tang San’s boss and announces her level-twelve cultivation 18 19 34.

Her hostility toward Xiao Yan deepens when he kills a wild rabbit for food. Tang San stops her from attacking him, but then offers her spicy rabbit head, causing her to run away crying 41.

Shrek Academy and the Soul Arenas

At Shrek, Xiao Wu joins the expedition to avenge Ma Hongjun and attacks Xiao Yan under his “Yan Xiao” disguise. He defeats her attempted throw, and her Charm rebounds against his stronger spiritual power. Tang San carries her away after Qin Ming and the Imperial Fighting Team force the group to retreat 81 82.

In their next arena encounter, Tang San concedes after Xiao Yan reveals himself. Xiao Wu attacks anyway and fires hidden weapons at Ye Lingling, prompting Xiao Yan to strike her with Eight Extremes Collapse. A later attack on Xiao Yan disguised as Ye Lingling ends with Xiao Wu and several teammates badly burned; Ye Lingling subsequently heals them 86 91 94.

Tang Hao’s Intervention

Tang Hao privately confronts Xiao Wu and admits that he originally concealed her soul beast aura so he could later kill her for Tang San’s benefit. He tells her about Ah Yin’s sacrifice and warns that serious injury could break the aura seal. After Xiao Wu promises to sacrifice herself for Tang San if necessary, he allows her to remain with him. The narration explicitly presents his account as an attempt to manipulate her emotions 134.

Tournament Exposure

Xiao Wu competes with Shrek against Jia Nan Academy and Thunder Academy. Against Thunder, she defeats Lei Tian through flight, Charm, and Instantaneous Shift, but Lei Dong immobilizes her and another fighter bombards her with lightning. Tang San rescues her 147 169.

During the tournament finals, Xiao Yan’s hidden force penetrates her Invincible Golden Body and severely injures her. The injury breaks Tang Hao’s concealment, exposing her hundred-thousand-year soul beast identity. Bibi Dong orders her capture, while Tang San publicly admits that he already knew her identity and declares his love for her 205.

Tang Hao subsequently sends her back to the Star Dou Great Forest while Tang San remains unconscious 210.

Sacrifice and Attempts at Revival

When Spirit Hall pursues them in the forest, Xiao Wu and Tang San cooperate to kill four agility-attack Soul Saints. Tang Hao then secretly wounds Tang San from behind, enabling the pursuers to catch them. As Tang San is overwhelmed, Xiao Wu begins her sacrifice; Tang Hao blocks Da Ming and Er Ming when they attempt to reach her 241 242.

Her remaining body becomes a small white rabbit. Da Ming and Er Ming explain that revival requires Tang San to return her soul ring and soul bone, give her all nine of his Titled Douluo rings, and use three supreme treasures. Tang San takes her body to Shrek Academy and seeks the Golden Iron Triangle’s help in obtaining medicinal herbs from the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well 243 244.

Revival and Exchanged Bodies

Tang San eventually revives Xiao Wu, completing his Sea God’s Eighth Trial. An explosion disrupts the process, placing her soul in his body and his soul in her reconstructed body. After initially striking him in confusion, she recognizes him and carries him toward Sunset Forest 337.

Following his instructions, she fights off Spirit Hall pursuers with his weapons and abilities. A voice from his soul ring sounds like Da Ming, prompting her to question the origin of his hundred-thousand-year rings. Tang San claims that almost all were bestowed by the Sea God 337 338.

Demonic Whale Vessel and Break with Tang San

After Xiao Wu’s reconstructed body is destroyed, the Asura God returns Tang San to his own body and transfers her soul into the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King’s body. The new body’s instincts drive her to sexually assault Tang San; she later expresses remorse, and he promises to restore her original form 349.

She questions why he possesses Da Ming’s and Er Ming’s soul bones. Tang San portrays their deaths as sacrifices forced by Spirit Hall and Xiao Yan, but a later vision reveals his responsibility. Combined with the souls she previously heard, this convinces her that he killed her companions. She confronts and attacks him, rejecting his explanation that Xiao Yan fabricated the revelation 349 350 355 356.

Relationships

Trivia
