Chapter 16: The stronghold's secrets. After the Alliance successfully breached the dark stronghold's defenses and stepped inside, a dense aura of darkness rushed into their faces. A sinister, oppressive atmosphere permeated every corner. Yet they also knew that deep within this stronghold lay secrets the Dark Forces had kept hidden-secrets that might hold the key to defeating them once and for all. Inside the stronghold deep in the Spirit Road Mountains, the Allied Forces spread out and explored with utmost care. They discovered numerous secret chambers and passageways, their walls covered in evil runes and patterns that seemed to recount the Dark Forces' history of atrocities. In one secret chamber, the Allied Forces found some ancient scrolls and books. Their pages gave off a faint aura of darkness, and the writing recorded on them was obscure and difficult to decipher. But after scholars within the Alliance versed in ancient scripts and dark culture studied them, they uncovered a shocking secret. The Dark Forces had been conducting a secret cultivation program, attempting to breed an entirely new kind of dark creature. These creatures would combine the traits of multiple dark powers, possess extraordinary combat strength and adaptability, and survive and fight in different spiritual power environments. According to the records, the Dark Forces had searched the world for creatures and humans with special spiritual power talents, brought them to this stronghold, and used an evil ritual to inject dark power into their bodies, attempting to alter their genes and spiritual power attributes. Many test subjects had died during the process, unable to withstand the corrosion of dark power. But the Dark Forces had not given up.
