"Human, you've overstepped. This is no place for you. Go back where you belong." The Pure-Blooded Youngling spoke indifferently, its eyes icy. Even though Shi Yi had displayed the might of his Double Pupils, it felt no fear.
Shi Yi's expression remained unchanged, mysterious symbols flickering in his eyes.
The Pure-Blooded Creature blocking his path was a True Hou youngling, shaped like a qilin, with wings on its back. Its cultivation ran deep, and its aura was extraordinary. Clearly, this True Hou youngling was powerful. Its ability to claim a good spot in the Blood Pool was proof enough of its strength.
Unfortunately, its opponent was Shi Yi.
"There's still time to get out of my way."
Shi Yi spoke softly, his gaze carrying an unspoken contempt. He treated the creature blocking his path as though it were nothing, making the True Hou youngling bristle all over.
It beat its wings, whipping up a hurricane. Its entire body poised to strike, it could unleash a thunderous blow and charge at Shi Yi at any moment.
"Human, do you know who you're talking to?" The True Hou youngling gave a cold growl. Clearly, it was truly enraged. Never in its life had it met a human who dared speak to it like this.
Hou Mountain's name shook the Desolate Region. The great human tribes near it had always treated Hou Mountain with utmost reverence, never daring to offend its majesty.
"Just a beast, yet you dare spout such shameless boasts." Shi Yi shook his head.
With that, he moved, his speed reaching the absolute limit. Like a bolt of human-shaped lightning, he instantly appeared before the True Hou youngling.
This sudden turn caught the True Hou youngling off guard. It had never imagined that a human with Double Pupils could move and act so swiftly.
"Roar!"
The True Hou opened its mouth. Runes gathered within it, brewing a secret technique-a terrifying beam of light that was about to burst forth.
Shi Yi's eyes shone. He had already deciphered the True Hou's movements. Quick of eye and hand, he reached out with his large hand, roused the divine radiance in his blood, and unleashed immense strength, forcibly clamping the True Hou's jaws together.
Boom!
With a muffled blast, the terrifying beam blew the True Hou's mouth apart. It had never imagined Shi Yi would be so strong. With him striking at full power, it could not resist at all.
"Aah!"
The True Hou youngling suffered a crushing setback. Agony tore through its mouth, a large chunk had been blasted out of its tongue, and its shattered teeth littered the ground.
That was not the end. Shi Yi roused all the divine radiance in his blood, transforming it into countless Dao Bells that resonated together. Then he concentrated all that power in his right fist. While the True Hou youngling was still caught off guard, he struck hard, driving a punch into its abdomen.
At that moment, the True Hou youngling's expression froze. Its eyes bulged, almost popping out. All it felt was excruciating pain in its abdomen, as though that fist had shattered its liver and torn its guts apart.
When Shi Yi withdrew his fist, the True Hou youngling could endure no more. Clutching its abdomen, it collapsed to the ground and convulsed without cease.
Having done all this, Shi Yi did not linger. He continued deeper.
Little Golden Spider's heart involuntarily skipped a beat. The True Hou youngling definitely ranked among the stronger purebloods in the Blood Pool.
Yet before Shi Yi, it had been beaten like an infant, utterly powerless to fight back.
Before those eyes that saw through all things, every movement was pale and feeble, dissected frame by frame.
Such an ability truly chilled the heart and inspired despair.
Seeing the True Hou youngling subdued by Shi Yi so quickly and left writhing in pain, the Pure-Blooded Younglings seated in the better spots could no longer remain calm. They began reassessing their chances of victory if they made an enemy of Shi Yi.
The rest of the journey went much more smoothly. Along the way, no more Pure-Blooded Younglings tried to stop him.
By now, all the Pure-Blooded Creatures were watching, wanting to see where Shi Yi would stop.
Only Jin Yunteng, seated in the best spot, sensed something. He knew Shi Yi might be coming for his throne.
As the foremost member of the Primordial Divine Mountain's younger generation, Jin Yunteng naturally felt no fear. Even though Shi Yi possessed the heaven-defying gift of Double Pupils, he remained confident that he could subdue him.
Behind Shi Yi, Little Golden Spider held its breath, not daring to make a sound. Its heart raced.
Shi Yi really was heading for the best spot. That meant a battle between him and Jin Yunteng, the divine mountain's foremost young prodigy, was inevitable.
If he won, the human and spider would enjoy the finest effects of the blood pool baptism all to themselves.
Previously, Little Golden Spider would never even have dared imagine such a thing. If another pure-blooded little golden spider had entered the secret realm with it, it was certain they could only rank at the very bottom, feeding on the cold scraps left behind by the divine mountain's prodigies.
Now, with Shi Yi making such a forceful move, even if he could not seize the best spot, he could still claim an excellent one.
At this thought, Little Golden Spider grew wildly excited. It could hardly wait to receive the baptism.
Suddenly, Shi Yi stopped and turned his gaze toward the pure-blooded Pixiu brothers, who harbored considerable hostility toward him.
Wherever his Double Pupils turned, a terrifying pressure immediately descended, intimidating his foes.
The two Pixiu younglings rose, making no effort to conceal their killing intent. Their bodies resembled tigers and leopards, their heads and tails those of dragons. Wings grew from their shoulders, and imposing horns crowned their heads. The aura of Pure-Blooded Creatures spread outward, resisting the pressure released by Shi Yi's Double Pupils.
"A human. Surnamed Shi. You deserve death."
The Pixiu spoke coldly and mercilessly, as though passing some kind of judgment.
At those words, Shi Yi remained expressionless. In his heart, he had already sentenced both Pixiu to death.
Inside the Qilin Secret Realm, he could not easily deal a killing blow. After all, these were Pure-Blooded Creatures. The death of even one would send the Primordial Divine Mountain into a fury. Shi Zhongtian, who had been hunted down, served as a warning.
Still, mountains and rivers would cross paths again; there would eventually be another meeting. If he encountered them outside and had an opportunity to kill these two beasts, Shi Yi would absolutely not let it pass.
"Two vile beasts."
Shi Yi spoke, looking down upon the two Pixiu from above. Then he unleashed a thunderous assault, charging toward them.
With each hand, he employed the human divine ability Sleeve-World. His sleeves rapidly expanded, spatial power spreading out as they instantly enveloped both Pixiu.
Before the Pixiu could react, Shi Yi attacked with all his strength, unleashing all manner of Treasure Techniques-the Golden-Winged Roc Treasure Technique, Five-Colored Divine Light... Under the scrutiny of his Double Pupils, every Treasure Technique struck a vital point, hitting the Pixiu where they were weakest.
"Hah!"
This sudden assault, fierce as a raging storm, pressed the two Pixiu so hard that they could barely breathe. They retreated again and again, blood spilling all over their bodies.
The sense of danger drove the two Pure-Blooded Creatures into a frenzy. They began fighting for their lives.
Boom!
From the other Pure-Blooded Creatures' perspective, Shi Yi's sleeves bulged violently, protrusions constantly appearing across them.
Clearly, the two Pixiu were resisting fiercely.
Inside the sleeves, both beasts unleashed the innate Treasure Techniques they had kept as their last trump cards.
Boom!
The sleeves exploded, countless scraps flying everywhere. Two figures burst out and broke free, but they were already drenched in blood and gasping for breath, with no telling how many bones had been broken.
