Giant Zero Three was a puppet.
Yet it was no ordinary puppet.
It was the closest thing to success among First University's sealed "Artificial God" projects. It possessed strength no less than that of the Dark Giant Beast Leviathan or the Many-armed Giant Kotos, standing only a hair's breadth away from becoming a true legend.
The mad wizard behind the project—Dr. Duzem, whom First University had kept hidden away—had once told Rat Immortal that if Giant Zero Three possessed a true soul, it could become a genuine legend.
Rat Immortal did not know what a true soul was.
But he knew that Giant Zero Three was irreplaceable to the Dark Council, because it was the vessel carrying the Dark Council's sole Forbidden Curse. Unlike First University, every councilor of the Dark Council was extremely "valuable." No one was willing to sacrifice themself for the Council's great cause.
Thus, to test this Forbidden Curse, they had to choose a powerful being with sufficient strength, one that could obey the Dark Council's orders and dared to sacrifice itself.
Giant Zero Three was precisely such a choice.
It concerned the success or failure of the Dark Council's declaration this time, and whether the Dark Council could continue to exist in this world after today.
If the Wanderer Wizard retained even a shred of reason, he would surely choose Giant Zero Three rather than the Mystic Yellow Fruit.
"This violates your contract."
The Wanderer Wizard could not stand by and watch this "declaration" fail, but he was unwilling to easily give up the Mystic Yellow Fruit that had fallen into his palm. He made one final attempt. "You know the consequences of breaking a contract."
"Consequences?" Rat Immortal's eyes gleamed, an odd smile hanging on his face. "What consequence could be worse than this?
