Li Meng rested her cheek on one hand, her short crossed leg trembling beneath the desk. As she listened to Dunton's hoarse shouting from the podium, she stared blankly out the classroom door, pondering how she could escape her cousin's "rules" after the class meeting and secretly slip off to the Pedestrian Street to play with Su Ya.
That Lin Guo was too dull. All he did all day was read and conduct experiments.
Zhu Si was a fun companion, but ever since a ruby had appeared on her forehead, she kept growing large and small, utterly unstable. Li Meng did not want to be playing with a friend only for them to suddenly turn into an adult playing with a child.
