The newspaper Zheng Qing got from Fatty Xin was not the school paper, but the Beta Town Post. Judging by the publication date, Monday, December 14, it had been printed the day after the Winter Hunt ended, when every member of the You Zui Hunting Team was undergoing health evaluations in some secret laboratory arranged by the school.
Perhaps that was why Fatty Xin had called it "old news"?
The young publicly funded student guessed uncertainly as he carefully opened the newspaper.
At a glance, he saw six or seven headlines of varying sizes on the front page—"Suspected Rebellion in the Withered Land, Lich Mentor Ulrich Missing," "Danhaag Conducts Another Surprise Inspection of Dark Blue Castle," "First University's 2009 Winter Hunt Concludes," "Trident Sword Again Proposes Expanding Law Enforcement Authority in the New World," "Fields Potions Invites Forty-Three Potion Masters to Become Partners," "A New Order Within the Alliance," and "Grand Judge Sam Attends Hearing on the Activation of the 'Special Security Act.'" None of them touched his sensitive nerves, and he unconsciously let out a small sigh of relief.
The report on the Winter Hunt was a tiny filler piece. Zheng Qing gave it a glance, and the most eye-catching line was: "No accidental deaths were reported during this Winter Hunt." From that one detail, it was easy to tell just how harmonious the article was.
The article on the new order, however, caught a bit more of the young wizard's attention.
