Having just left Master Baoyangzi's sight, the young wizard had been tense through the entire class, and with the Elixir of Joy's effects wearing off at just the wrong moment, he seemed somewhat dazed. It was only after the witch asked again that he came back to himself.
"S-sorry. Those little elves are in a very delicate state right now. We were short on time, and we weren't sure whether Dr. Duzem would be home, so..."

Holding her books, the witch led the two of them toward the corridor connecting to Beta Town, softly humming as she walked. She had been rather tactful, refraining from using a worse description.
Zheng Qing had no reply.
By all rights, Jiang Yu, who attended thirty-two classes over seven days each week, should have been more exhausted than Zheng Qing, who took thirty classes over six days. After all, First University's classes were all three-hour sessions, while ordinary students only had around ten classes a week.
