Zheng Qing was very insensitive to time.
Part of the reason was that he was genuinely busy and often overlooked the passage of time. Another part was that he had truly "died" before, so he did not care about time's most intimidating consequence. Yet another reason was that he often turned into a cat and wandered about, making it easy to confuse the time difference between cats and humans. Finally, and most directly, the Time-Turner was to blame. Wizards who spent long periods wandering the Timeline became desensitized to time; this had been authoritatively verified within the Alliance.
So, when he heard that he had stayed in that room for three hours, he merely froze for a moment before naturally putting that bit of temporal discrepancy out of his mind.
"So what?"
The boy walked slowly through the night with his hands behind his back, looking puzzled. "I stayed in there for three hours, but it felt like three minutes... What does that have to do with a sensitivity test?"
The Little Green Dragon had clearly not expected the boy to react so calmly. It paused before speaking again in a sullen tone.
"Because memory suppresses the sensitivity of consciousness."
It carefully chose its words, trying to explain in terms the boy could understand. "Do you remember something I told you before? 'Memory is the gate through which one peers into the River of Time.' Perhaps to prevent too many exceptionally gifted wizards, or even ordinary people, from coveting it and disrupting the order of the River of Time, nature—or rather, those beings above the River of Time—gave rise to a law known as 'forgetting.' By selectively erasing the historical memories of individuals and groups, this law breaks the originally continuous 'memories' stored in everyone's mind into discontinuous virtual dimensions,
