The Rat Wizard raised a paw and shouted, trying to stop Su Shijun's next move—the threat posed by the Guardian Formation and a genuine Archwizard was no joke. Even though it was merely one of Rat Immortal's avatars and lacked a true soul, facing that thing called "death" still made it tremble with a fear rooted deep within life itself.
Su Shijun lowered her head and looked impassively at the four black figures trapped in their predicament.
She was very sensible. She did not try to lift the black masks from the faces of those "poachers," nor did she intend to capture them and hand them over to the Trident Sword before following the trail further—investigation was a hunter's job, while she was merely a researcher. When the school had assigned this matter to her, it had originally meant for her to stop here.
