"Sensei, can I study it?" Kenichi Amamiya was instantly excited. He needed to develop some ninjutsu unique to himself, and in his view, stimulating Cancer Cells to rapidly develop was a pretty good idea.
He had not encountered anything like this before at Konoha Hospital, which had left Kenichi Amamiya somewhat disappointed. He had not expected to find it here.
Orochimaru smiled at Kenichi Amamiya. One thing he appreciated about him was that, like himself, Kenichi Amamiya had a unique understanding of science.
"Of course." Orochimaru pressed something, and the Glass Jar opened, releasing a rather unpleasant smell.
"Sensei, may I ask which part of his body has this condition?" Kenichi Amamiya asked expectantly. Cancer Cells were generally hidden inside the body.
At least from his appearance, this person did not look like he had skin cancer.
"His brain. His brain has this condition, and it has affected his eyes as well." Orochimaru pointed at the man's Byakugan. Only after examining them closely did Kenichi Amamiya notice that the man's eyes were indeed somewhat unusual.
Strange Growths had formed on his eyeballs, but they had been difficult to see clearly while he was soaked in Nutrient Solution.
"Then, Sensei, can I take a sample?" Kenichi Amamiya rubbed his hands together. These were ready-made Cancer Cells.
Orochimaru's expression turned peculiar. He smiled faintly, then gestured for Kenichi Amamiya to help himself. Kenichi Amamiya found it strange that his teacher seemed so unconcerned, but he did not dwell on it.
Instead, he picked up a scalpel and prepared to scrape some of the Growths off the man's eyeball.
The moment the sharp scalpel touched the man's eye, he began struggling violently, leaving Kenichi Amamiya stunned.
This man was actually still alive?
"If he dies, he will no longer be as valuable." Orochimaru's eerie voice drifted over, and Kenichi Amamiya fell silent.
Right. Who was his teacher? This was Orochimaru, an absolute villain throughout the early parts of Naruto. He had supposedly been redeemed later on, but in the beginning, he was definitely a Bad Guy.
"Sensei is right." Kenichi Amamiya calmly held the scalpel and scraped those Growths straight off the man's eyeball while he was still alive.
Screams, blood, agonized struggles—Kenichi Amamiya remained expressionless. The unnamed Hyuga Clan member glared at him with hatred, but Kenichi Amamiya was more concerned with the tiny pieces of tissue in his Petri Dish.
Cancer Cells would die when the body died, and they could only rule supreme inside a body. Once exposed to the outside world, any random bacterium or virus could beat Cancer Cells into a Younger Brother.
The famous HeLa Cells from his previous life were notoriously delicate and difficult to cultivate, so Kenichi Amamiya could not spare any attention for the wailing Hyuga Clan member. He hurriedly carried the Petri Dish over to the Microscope.
Orochimaru silently watched the scene from the side, then smiled. Sure enough, this disciple of his was much like himself.
Kenichi Amamiya did not think too deeply about it. He was focused on studying the cells before him. He could not tell whether they were Cancer Cells, but he felt the situation was indeed roughly the same.
He also discovered a problem: after wrapping those cells in Chakra, their activity was greatly suppressed.
"Cancer Cells are cells too, and they need nutrients to divide and grow. My Chakra has lightning and fire attributes, so neither should work." Kenichi Amamiya watched as the cells slowly lost their activity, feeling somewhat troubled.
Then Kenichi Amamiya froze. Come to think of it, the Chakra attributes in Naruto also included Yin and Yang. Hashirama Senju definitely possessed Yang Release Chakra.
Or rather, most ninja probably possessed it to some degree; the difference was simply in how much they had. The Senju Clan had an especially large amount of Yang Release Chakra.
During his recent training, Kenichi Amamiya had also sensed a type of Chakra unlike the ordinary kind. Since he had inherited the First Hokage's Sage Body, theoretically, he should be similar to the Senju Clan as well.
"What are you studying?" Orochimaru had already shut the Hyuga Clan member back inside the Culture Jar and was now watching his disciple curiously.
"Sensei, all these cells have died. Can I study that Hyuga Clan member again?" Kenichi Amamiya rubbed his hands together excitedly.
If he poured a massive amount of Life Force into the Cancer Cells inside the target's body, how far would those Cancer Cells develop?
"You may, as long as you do not kill him." Orochimaru was very satisfied. His disciple suited his requirements perfectly.
Upon hearing Orochimaru's words, Kenichi Amamiya immediately nodded. This was such a precious and rare test subject; how could he possibly kill him carelessly?
At the very least, the man could not die before Kenichi Amamiya obtained the answer he wanted.
Under Orochimaru's gaze, Kenichi Amamiya once again stood before the unconscious Hyuga Clan member. This time, however, he did not use a scalpel to scrape Growths from the man's eyeballs.
Instead, he stood there studying something, occasionally placing a hand against the man's face. No one knew what he was doing.
However, Orochimaru was a seasoned ninja, so he naturally spotted a few clues.
"You have learned the Mystical Palm Technique?" Orochimaru watched Kenichi Amamiya's movements, sensed the Chakra flowing from his hands, then gave his disciple a puzzled look.
"I haven't learned it, Sensei. I just wanted to try it." Kenichi Amamiya smiled awkwardly. The Mystical Palm Technique was A-rank Medical Ninjutsu; he had never learned it.
Just now, Kenichi Amamiya had wanted to draw upon the Yang Release Chakra within his body and inject it into the other man's Cancer Cells to see whether there would be any changes. Unfortunately, he could not yet do that.
There was a difference in difficulty between wrapping Cancer Cells individually outside the body and injecting Chakra into someone else's body, then making it reach specific cells.
One was Black Iron; the other was King of Glory.
This made Kenichi Amamiya realize that his idea had been somewhat wishful thinking. Still, there was definitely nothing wrong with the concept. If he could truly figure out how to do it, then he would have some unique ninjutsu of his own.
Unfortunately, he could not do that yet.
