A thunderclap audible throughout Glory City preceded golden light and moving images overhead. Neither Nie Li nor the city’s leadership understood what it was 1.

Its opening broadcast replayed Nie Li’s return to the classroom and exposed his memories of Glory City’s destruction in his previous life. After initially showing events that had already occurred, later broadcasts revealed a future Nie Li explicitly described as one in which the Sky Screen never appeared. The present timeline consequently diverged from the events shown overhead 1 11 22 26 43.
