Nie Li built powerful killing arrays to defend Glory City from the Dark Guild while clashing with Ye Zong and becoming closer to Ye Ziyun and Xiao Ning'er. After Ye Han withdrew from the succession contest, Nie Li prepared to explore ancient buildings near the City Lord’s Mansion, where Sacred Family spies were present.

• Ye Zong gave Nie Li one year to prove himself, and Nie Li entered the Heavenly Illusion Sacred Realm, where he won the Heavenfall Divine Thunder Sword and helped Ye Yan enter a Spirit Puppet.
• Nie Li exposed Shen Ming and Li Yunhua, built the Taiyi Killing Array and Divine Thunder Killing Array, and moved with Nie Yu into a building beside Ye Ziyun’s courtyard.
• Ye Zong tested the Taiyi Killing Array and lost, then turned the tables by spanking Nie Li and threatening to keep him from seeing Ye Ziyun.
• The Dark Guild attacked the City Lord’s Mansion with an Abyss Troll, and Nie Li helped kill it with the Divine Thunder Killing Array before collapsing from exhausted Soul Force.
• While Nie Li recovered, Ye Ziyun and Xiao Ning'er each promised to stay by his side, and Ye Han returned to Glory City and attended Ye Zong’s banquet.
• Nie Li confronted Ye Han and Shen Fei at the banquet, while Ye Zong blocked Shen Hong’s attack and later told Nie Li he planned to pass the City Lord’s position to Ye Ziyun.
• Ye Han admitted that he liked Ye Ziyun but withdrew from the contest for City Lord, and Nie Li warned Ye Zong that the Sacred Family might join the Dark Guild and Demon Beasts against Glory City.
• Shen Hong ordered evidence of the Sacred Family’s ties to the Dark Guild destroyed, while Nie Li gathered Lu Piao, Du Ze, Xiao Ning'er, and Chen Linjian to explore ancient buildings near the City Lord’s Mansion.

Nie Li led Glory City’s forces into the Black Prison World, built Bright Village, and broke the Silverwing Family’s hold over its people. After freeing Duan Jian and gathering allies and supplies, Nie Li prepared to destroy the Silverwing Family with Bright Village’s powerful array.

• Nie Li defeated Ye Han, who then accepted Shen Xiu’s offer to become the Sacred Family’s mole, and Nie Li organized Glory City to build improved Killing Arrays.
• Nie Li opened the Origin Barrier, led an expedition into the Black Prison World, and rescued a village from the Silverwing Family’s raiders before establishing Bright Village.
• Nie Li explored the world’s dangers, learned Emperor Kongming’s Ten-Character Mantra, and gained control of the Black Prison World after negotiating with a crazed old man.
• Nie Li infiltrated the Silverwing Family, freed Duan Jian, and helped him kill Sikong Red Moon before they escaped and destroyed the Treetop Palace.
• Nie Li awakened Duan Jian’s Black Dragon bloodline and gathered support for Bright Village, while the Divine Flame Family and smaller families joined Glory City.
• Nie Li stopped the Silverwing Family’s abuse of its slave miners, then escaped with Duan Jian after Sikong Yi sent men to kill them.
• Duan Jian killed Sikong Jue and avenged his parents, while Nie Li gathered dragon soul stone, traded for weapons and scrolls, and stocked Duan Jian with pills.
• Nie Li returned to Bright Village and prepared to destroy the Silverwing Family as experts saw the completed array surrounding the settlement.

Nie Li destroyed the Silverwing Family, returned to Glory City, and helped lead its defense against a devastating beast tide. After the battle exposed Shen Hong’s crimes and deepened the rift between Nie Li and Ye Ziyun, Ye Han poisoned Ye Zong and fled, leaving Ye Zong gravely wounded.

• Nie Li and Duan Jian destroyed the Silverwing Family’s defenses, freed the Mine’s enslaved miners, and Duan Jian killed Sikong Yi to avenge his parents.
• Nie Li returned to Glory City with his companions, gave Ye Zong crimson blood crystals, and proposed a plan to capture the Sacred Family and the Dark Guild.
• As a massive beast tide approached, Nie Li organized layered defenses that used fire, explosives, and poisoned bamboo to kill or scatter the beasts.
• Nie Li collapsed while absorbing soul force during the battle, and Xiao Ning'er risked her life to protect him until he recovered and reached Gold 2-Star.
• Black Gold Rank beasts broke through the city wall, but Nie Li’s Legendary Scroll struck the intelligent Wind Snow Giant Ape, which Ye Zong then killed.
• The Sky Screen exposed Shen Hong’s role in poisoning Ye Zong’s first wife, and Ye Zong agreed to Nie Li’s betrothal offer while Ye Ziyun struggled with her feelings and sent Nie Li away.
• Ye Han stabbed Ye Zong with a dagger poisoned by Dragon Tongue Grass, then fled after trying to frame Nie Li and seize power with the Dark Guild’s help.
• Ye Xiu found Ye Zong poisoned, and Ye Zong asked him to bring Ye Ziyun and Nie Li so he could make his final arrangements.

After the Sacred Family’s rebellion is crushed, Nie Li leaves Glory City to investigate the Dark Guild and the Black Spring, while his friends follow him to the Heavenly Fortune Plateau. Beneath the spring, he meets Yu Yan and rapidly advances as he searches for the source of the golden light.

• Nie Li treated Ye Zong’s dragon tongue grass poisoning, then helped expose the Sacred Family’s betrayal and fought alongside Glory City’s forces against Shen Hong, Ghost Fiend, and Dragon Fiend.
• After Dragon Fiend escaped and the three-month deadline remained, Nie Li left Glory City to investigate the Dark Guild, leaving a letter for Ye Ziyun and telling his friends he would return.
• Nie Li reached the Heavenly Fortune Plateau, traded food for purple smoke stones, and used them to advance his cultivation before killing Xiao Lang and forcing survivors to guide him toward the Black Spring.
• Ye Ziyun, Xiao Ning'er, and the others arrived at the Heavenly Fortune Tribe with Elder Ye Ming, and Nie Li helped the tribe prepare to move to Glory City.
• Nie Li entered the Black Spring, deciphered its inscriptions, found a hidden chamber and the remains of Legendary Rank experts, and met Yu Yan, who revealed herself as the Fire Spirit God.
• Yu Yan explained the threat posed by a newly born Demon Beast Spiritual God and the Space-Time Spiritual God’s attempt to save the Human Race.
• Nie Li tempered himself in the Black Spring, rapidly advanced to Gold 5-Star, and found Yu Yan’s divine body within her Divine Core as a golden light glimmered below.
