Nie Li and his companions survived the Necromancer God’s Tomb, advanced through the Nine-Layered Deathlands, and received their sect assignments. As Ye Ziyun and Xiao Ning’er began recalling past lives, Nie Li led a group from Glory City into the Endless Desert to seek the Book of Time and Space Spirit.

• Nie Li defeated Ye Han and helped drive off the Corpse Flood Dragon before reuniting with Xiao Ning’er and reluctantly agreeing to travel with Xiao Yu.
• Nie Li and Xiao Yu entered the Necromancer God’s Tomb, where Nie Li defeated the Necromancer God, took control of the Death Law, and freed the trapped experts.
• Xiao Yu remembered Nie Li’s previous life, and Nie Li helped him complete the Myriad Dao Roaring Dragon Art before the Sky Screen showed Nie Li battling the Necromancer God.

After losing Ye Zong in the Sky Screen’s past, Nie Li reached the Feathered God Sect and built allies while clashing with Long Yuyin and Gu Heng. When Ying Yueru risked herself to shield Nie Li’s fate, he vowed to protect her and entered the Ghost Ruins, where a powerful enemy appeared behind him.

• Torch Dragon attacked Nie Li’s group in the Endless Desert, but the unseen enforcer killed him, and the Sky Screen showed Nie Li collapsing after seeing Ye Ziyun and Xiao Ning'er.
• The Demon Lord invaded Glory City for the Demon Spirit Stone, killed Ye Zong despite Ye Mo’s bargain, and escaped after Nie Li grievously wounded him.
• Nie Li and his companions left for the Draconic Ruins Realm, where Nie Li joined the Feathered God Sect and impressed its leaders with his spirit root and cultivation.
• Nie Li cured Gu Lan’s poison, befriended Gu Bei, and climbed the Sacred Spirit Ranking, where he beat Long Yuyin and lashed her three times after winning their wager.
• Ying Yueru resolved to transfer Nie Li’s fate onto herself to hide him from the Sacred Emperor, and Nie Li vowed to protect her after learning of her plan.
