Those words left the Sea Princess looking grim. Neither the Snow Empress nor the Evil Lord offered any comfort. The two of them knew that no Soul Beast would feel good upon learning this truth.
After a moment of silence, the Sea Princess laughed. Her laughter was full of mockery, but even more of it was directed at herself. Then she muttered, "That idiot, the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King, is still foolishly dreaming of attaining godhood. All the Sea Soul Beasts-no, all Soul Beasts have been played for fools."
The Sea Princess looked up at the Snow Empress and the Evil Lord and asked "calmly," "Then why did the Dragon God lay the curse of Heavenly Tribulations upon all Soul Beasts? Why aren't Soul Beasts qualified to become gods?"
The Evil Lord shook his head. "By the Divine Realm's reckoning, we only spent five years there with Huo Yuhao. Besides, Huo Yuhao was only the God of Emotion, a First-Level God, at the time. A great many matters weren't ours to inquire into.
