He absolutely loathed the guy. Reggie felt even more obnoxious than his younger brother Paul would be in the future.
He had no idea what Brandon would do to him later to crush his confidence so completely and change his personality that much.

Inside stood Steven, Cynthia, and Pheobe.
"Where are you three going?"
Chen Shi asked in confusion. His match had only just ended, so why did these three look like they were about to leave?
Pheobe said cheerfully, "Brother Chen Shi, it's still early. Why don't we go out and look around together?"
"Your match is over anyway, and we don't have anything to do."
"Is that what you two want too?" Chen Shi looked at Steven and Cynthia.
They both nodded. With no objections of his own, he said, "All right, then. Steven, have you picked up your Metagross? If you have, we can leave now!"
"I'll go get him now, and then we can head straight out," Steven said casually.
