"Cynthia, what do you think Old Chen is doing?"
Steven sat on a little stool, looking rather bored as he watched the figure in the training grounds, his eyes full of confusion.
"I don't know, but I think it must be something important. Otherwise, knowing him, he wouldn't spend so much time here."
Cynthia spoke calmly.
Steven chuckled helplessly. "You really do know him well."
For all Chen Shi was constantly running here, there, and everywhere,
he was actually a very lazy person, the sort who would never sit if he could lie down instead.
Even Pheobe, that energetic girl, had undergone a complete change in personality after hanging around him for a while.
That folding lounge chair had become an indispensable item in Pheobe's backpack.
"Forget it. You can keep waiting. I'll find somewhere else to train."
Just as Steven finished speaking and prepared to leave, Chen Shi's eyes snapped open in the training grounds. White light blazed from his body, so dazzling that they could barely keep their eyes open.
At the same time, Florges suddenly opened her eyes wide, and the memories she usually kept buried deepest in her heart resurfaced.
An outside force amplified them without limit.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
Her blood raced, accompanied by a thunderous heartbeat. Fairy-type energy swept in from a vast area, all gathering around Florges and turning into a pink Twister.
"Baruya?!"
Dragapult cried out in surprise. This scene was familiar.
Wasn't this the bond phenomenon?
Glancing at his excited Pokémon Trainer, Dreepy gave a soft huff.
You jerk. So you don't love dragons anymore, huh? Now you love flowers?
"The bond phenomenon has appeared again!" Cynthia raised a hand to shield her eyes and spoke softly.
"Yeah. This is exactly what happened to Dreepy back at the Pokémon World Championships."
