With food running low, Chen Shi refused to abandon the weak Pokémon and entered the Distortion World to seek a way to defeat the Five Kings of Hisui and the Time-Space Duo. As Zoroark and the others prepared to face the approaching enemy forces, Giratina emerged from a rift in space.

• Chen Shi rejected Zoroark's suggestion to save only strong Pokémon and declared he would defeat the Five Kings of Hisui and the Time-Space Duo before their food ran out.
• Chen Shi used Dragapult to enter the Distortion World, telling the Pokémon to wait for his return.
• Braviary reported that all Five Kings of Hisui had mobilized their forces to attack, and Zoroark chose to make a stand by the sea.
