Chapter Summaries

Cheng Tian asked Su Han about her father and later visited Nalu, who examined Greninja after its evolution and proposed a battle to investigate its sudden power increase. Their conversation also reminded Cheng Tian that he was entering his final year of high school, and he said he hoped to attend the same university as Su Han.

• Cheng Tian asked Su Han whether her father knew about their relationship and what hobbies he had, learning that he liked practicing brush calligraphy.
• Su Han told Cheng Tian to come back early, and he left to visit Nalu.
• Nalu examined Greninja and asked Cheng Tian about its unusual surge in power during the battle with Zeraora.
• Nalu suggested that Cheng Tian and Greninja battle so she could test whether the transformation could happen again.

Cheng Tian brought Greninja to the China Gym to battle Nalu’s Quaquaval and test whether Greninja would undergo an unusual change. Quaquaval overwhelmed Greninja, which showed no change, and Nalu learned its Water Shuriken count was inconsistent.

Su Han researched Fairy-type Pokémon and was drawn into a strange space filled with Unown after entering a private reading room. As Sara arrived to investigate, Mr. Zimanbo revealed that only Su Han had been pulled into the space.

• The Unown surrounded Su Han with light, causing painful pressure that suddenly burst into blue ripples.
• Su Han heard the Unown speak and learned that they had given her a gift.
• The Unown sensed someone entering and vanished as Sara called Su Han awake.

Sara took Su Han to the Quiet Room and taught her about Aura, explaining how to sense it and form an Aura Sphere. Meanwhile, Cheng Tian’s battle against Wen Xu’s Mimikyu left Lairon as his last Pokémon after the Mimikyu defeated four of his team.
