Emerald energy gathered, and an orb brimming with vitality formed in Ivysaur's mouth before launching toward the approaching behemoth!
Yong shook his head. It was useless!
Steelix paid no attention to the little orb striking his body. A crystalline sheen flickered across him as he shrugged off the attack, opened his abyss-like maw, and bit viciously at Ivysaur!
"How is that possible?!"
Ake was caught off guard. Energy Ball had struck as though it had hit a sponge, without causing so much as a ripple!
"Quick, use Protect!"
White light emerged, forming a protective barrier around Ivysaur!
The next instant, that abyssal maw, wreathed in frigid ice energy, clamped down hard on Ivysaur!
The barrier began to warp!
Under the tremendous pressure, a crisp crack rang out!
Protect failed!
"Saur!!"
A scream rang out as Steelix's Ice Fang froze half of Ivysaur's body. Then Steelix raised himself up with Ivysaur still caught in his jaws!
"Ivysaur!"
Ake panicked, staring at his partner suspended in the air, at a loss for what to do!
"So powerful! Yong's Steelix is incredible! An utterly crushing assault! He ignored his opponent's attack and froze Ivysaur with a single Ice Fang! This is bad! How will Ake respond?"
As the commentator gave a swift, concise account of the action, the thrilling battle stirred the spectators into an even greater frenzy!
Gritting his teeth, Ake
