Aether Paradise was an artificial island located at the center of the four major islands of the Alola Islands.
Viewed as a whole, it was an enormous floating structure on the sea, a complex of white buildings housing the Aether Foundation's research facilities.
It served as both the Aether Foundation's base and a vast sanctuary! Many Pokémon injured in attacks by Ultra Beasts were rescued and brought here for shelter and treatment, which also provided convenient opportunities for Lusamine to expand her collection.
Aside from protecting Pokémon, the Aether Foundation housed most of its core departments here and conducted its research activities with the island as its hub.
The island had no natural land or similar formations. Every part of it was built with human technology, and the towering Headquarters Building covered almost the entire island.
The docks for entering and leaving the island were on the first floor of the Headquarters Building. An archway built specifically for ships allowed them to sail straight into the building, where passengers could disembark in the first-floor hall.
Yong and the others watched curiously as their ship sailed through the archway and into the enormous building. With the identification Pokédex Olivia had given Lana, the group quickly cleared the identity check and stepped onto the first-floor platform of the Headquarters Building.
"What an incredible building. It really is floating on the sea!"
