Its head was almost identical to Slowpoke's, with the same vacant expression, but it was much more intelligent.
Its abdomen bore butter-yellow stripes. Walking upright had given Slowbro longer limbs, with three claws on its forepaws and two on its hind feet.
The top-shaped shell on Slowbro's tail had transformed from a Shellder. Its teeth clamped tightly onto the tail, and spikes and dark markings covered its surface.
This was an evolution formed by combining two different kinds of Pokémon.

Slowpoke had a habit of fishing with its tail. When a Shellder bit onto it, this unusual evolution occurred.
The spiral shell on its tail was the Shellder, which became virtually indestructible thanks to the energy supplied by Slowpoke.
In battle, however, the shell on Slowbro's tail sometimes fell off, causing it to devolve.
That was why it remained unpopular despite being a rare Psychic-type Pokémon.
A Cheng walked over to Ludicolo, murmured a few comforting words, and recalled it into its Pokémon Ball before turning to the others.
"Psychic-type Pokémon can use Confusion to block outside energy. How long they can hold out depends on the difference in energy levels!"
Listening to A Cheng, Dr. Mikiko frowned.
"Leaving aside the fact that I don't have any Psychic-type Pokémon, even if I did, wouldn't any Ghost-type Pokémon that appeared have an advantage over it in a place ruled by Ghost types?"
Yong nodded.
"That's true. Psychic types have a hard time against Ghost types..."
After a moment's thought, he continued.
"Then how about this? There are four of us, and I have a Psychic-type Pokémon too. A Cheng and I will keep the lost energy
