Tyrunt had reached level 38 and learned two new moves, Rock Tomb and Iron Head! That gave Tyrunt a few more ways to attack.
But even with that increase in level, Tyrunt's foundation was far weaker than Steelix's and the others'. Although Tyrunt was already on the verge of evolution, Yong decided to have Tyrunt suppress the energy within until that strength truly matched what it should be at this stage. Only after fully developing Tyrunt's potential would he consider evolution.
