"Lucario versus Steelix! Let the battle begin!"
Bruno immediately called out,
"Give it everything you've got! Swords Dance!"
"Rio!!"
A blue energy staff suddenly appeared in Lucario's hands. He swung it around, dancing on the spot as invisible waves spread across the entire arena.
A streak of light flashed past, and his gaze grew sharper!
A faint blue glow seemed to coat Lucario's body!
Yong felt a strange energy sweep over him.
Was that Aura?
He suppressed his thoughts and tried to stay as calm as possible before calling out,
"Steelix! Fire Fang!"
Opening his enormous jaws again, Steelix rapidly slithered forward, stretching out his body as he charged toward Lucario!
"Dodge! Aura Sphere!"
Lucario leaped up, evading in advance along the path he had sensed. Rubbing his hands together, he instantly formed a blue ball of energy and thrust it forward, sending the Aura Sphere hurtling toward Steelix's head!
Bam!
Like a balloon striking a rock, the Aura Sphere left not a single mark on Steelix's body! It only made him frown slightly in discomfort!
"Yikes... sure enough, this big guy's defense is way higher than Swampert's! That was a Fighting-type move!"
"You should've figured that out just from his size!"
"Not even a reaction? Steelix is that tough? I'm going to catch one too!"
For a moment, the competitors below the stands broke into another uproar.
Bruno was also rather speechless out on the field. Though he had expected it, actually seeing it happen was still frustrating!
Then he frowned and shouted,
"Lucario! Show some spirit! Keep firing Aura Spheres!"
"Rio!"
Lucario kept moving, forming one Aura Sphere after another between his hands and continuously bombarding Steelix!
Aura Sphere couldn't be dodged, so Yong simply watched with interest. He also wanted to know where Steelix's current limits lay.
