Aggron's appearance lifted everyone's spirits.
Even Roxanne in the stands could not help praising it.
"This Aggron has been raised very well, and it's far bigger than others of its kind. What a shame. I went to the Greenridge Tunnel too, but the Aggron colony had already moved away. Sigh..."
Brawly's outlook was much like Yong's. He chuckled and reassured her.
"Sometimes, catching Pokémon comes down to luck. Who knows? One day, you might just run into the one you want."
Roxanne understood that, of course. She simply liked Aggron, with its Steel and Rock typing.
On the field,
Toxic Spikes appeared and struck Aggron's body, producing a series of crisp clinks.
They were utterly useless.
Cynthia paid them no mind. Only now, standing on the field at such close range, could she truly feel the overwhelming pressure this Aggron exuded!
It was not an Ability, but the oppressive force of its own strength.
A sharp glint flashed in her beautiful eyes, and Cynthia grew even more focused.
The referee looked over both competitors, then nodded and announced,
"Aggron versus Spiritomb! Begin!"
Yong had the first move this round.
"Aggron! Stealth Rock!"
A mass of stones rose into the air, floating around Spiritomb before fading into thin air.
Cynthia said,

Seeing her reaction, Yong smiled.
"Just returning the favor!"
Cynthia gave a soft, amused smile.
"Spiritomb! Will-O-Wisp!"
Blue-green flames separated from its body and swiftly drifted toward its opponent.
"Hydro Pump!"
"Hey-woah!"
Aggron opened its huge mouth and roared. A thick Hydro Pump gushed out, intensely compressed and spinning, scattering the Will-O-Wisp before slamming into Spiritomb!
Despite taking that hit, Cynthia's expression did not change.
"Psychic!"
Here it comes again! But this time, I'm not dodging!
Yong's gaze was resolute as he shouted,
"Aggron! Push through! Use Dragon Rush!"
