With the abundant plant life around this beach, Route 103 was home to a wide variety of Grass-type and Bug-type Pokémon. Trainers could also fish here and find some fine Water-type Pokémon.
With luck, they might even encounter a rare Mudkip, a Psyduck, or a Marill.
Yong had once been one of those lucky people.
As a result, this stretch of beach on Route 103 still attracted plenty of Trainers hoping to catch Pokémon.
Quite a few camps stood scattered across the open ground nearby.
Cynthia took Ralts into the surrounding grass to find wild Pokémon to practice against.
Qingcao, meanwhile, strictly followed the training plan Yong had laid out. Steelix was currently training to move through water and withstand attacks, with Yong's Excadrill as an opponent!
Golett was doing weighted training to help master control over that body and energy as quickly as possible.
Yong, naturally, was not sitting idle either.
Aerodactyl and the newly evolved Volcarona were engaged in a no-rules battle!
Aerodactyl had a complete advantage over Volcarona and exerted tremendous pressure!
That pressure had only grown stronger since Aerodactyl returned to peak condition! Aerodactyl's natural talent was still returning, and that control over power was the most precise of all!
A battle filled with such pressure could also draw out Volcarona's potential, helping the Pokémon quickly adjust to and master that newly evolved body and power.
It accomplished several things at once.
Some of the Trainers practicing nearby had initially considered challenging him, but after seeing Aerodactyl's terrifying speed and the sheer power of Volcarona's flames, they all abandoned the idea.
There was little point in a battle they knew they would lose.
They would just be handing their opponent experience and money...
The afternoon passed in productive training, and Swampert still had not returned.
