In the world of Jujutsu, self-imposed rules known as "binding vows" held absolute precedence. Jujutsu Sorcerers could sacrifice things they considered precious in exchange for what they desired.
Within the broader framework of "binding vows," there was another, unusual existence: the "curse."
A Jujutsu Sorcerer's curse was nothing as frivolous as an ordinary person's spoken malediction. Especially at the moment of death, the abundant cursed energy embodying their negative emotions would pour out, and the words they uttered would produce an effect akin to Cursed Speech, influencing another person's fate.
And now, Kenjaku had cursed Chinatsu.
Humanity could not overcome heaven.
Heaven's will could not be defied.
"Chinatsu, I curse you to never again enjoy the happiness you seek as an ordinary person. You defeated the Buddha, and now you are the new Buddha. Unlock the shackles in your heart and release the true self you have suppressed for so many years!"
Beneath Kenjaku's hideous face, her outstretched finger pointed straight at Chinatsu on the ground. The unknown energy that had mutated from cursed energy suddenly reverted to cursed energy embodying negativity, surging toward Chinatsu like a flood.
Before Chinatsu or Satoru Gojo could react, the towering flood swallowed her. At the sight, Satoru Gojo's eyes trembled as though shaken by an earthquake.
"Sis!!!"
Satoru Gojo swiftly reached into the flood of cursed energy, trying to pull his sister out. On the verge of collapse, Kenjaku lifted her head and continued her piercing laughter.
Though she believed her thousand-year plan had failed, this final move was nothing short of a masterstroke, enough to eclipse every ugly defeat that had come before it.
"Chinatsu, I've wo-"
"Shut up!!!"
Before Kenjaku could finish, a scarlet projectile shot out of the flood of cursed energy and blasted her crumbling body into tiny fragments.
