Eikura Yohei, who had been diligently teaching, watched the two figures walking from the classroom building toward the field.
They're just passing by, right? he screamed inwardly, but the two tall, striking figures came to a stop right in front of the first-years and their teacher.
"Did you need something, Gojo, Geto?"
Eikura Yohei trembled inwardly just saying those two names.
Yu Haibara, meanwhile, greeted the two figures enthusiastically.
"Gojo! Geto!"
Kento Nanami was much calmer, giving them a polite nod-his impression of these two upperclassmen was that they were loud and rowdy. In the month since he had enrolled, he had already seen them beat each other up twice at Jujutsu High, though both fights had ended with them laughing and chatting with their arms around each other's shoulders.
They were both utterly ridiculous.
Miwa Riona greeted them with an adorable smile. "Hello, Gojo, Geto."
Miwa Chisei kept gazing up at the sky, then spoke in a flat tone.
"Hello, Geto."
Suguru Geto held back his laughter. Sure enough, his best friend beside him clicked his tongue in displeasure.
"Miwa Chisei, are you blind? There's another upperclassman here."
"Yes, I'm blind."
She already sounded exhausted. Kento Nanami inexplicably felt a little sympathy for her.
Yu Haibara felt differently from everyone else in the first-year group. He deeply respected their second-year upperclassmen because he thought they were strong.
He was kind and brimming with energy, someone who almost exclusively saw the good in others, so he treated most people with goodwill.
"Don't you have any missions today? I really want to try a proper mission soon too, and become someone who can hold his own!"
For once, faced with the admiration of a normal underclassman, Suguru Geto smiled gently.
"I'm sure you'll be going on missions soon, Haibara."
"Thank you for the encouragement, Geto."
What a heartwarming scene. But before Eikura Yohei could enjoy it for even three seconds, he caught a whiff of ill intent.
"Mr. Eikura, how about a match between the first-years and second-years? Just a little warm-up?"
Satoru Gojo stretched his wrists with exaggerated movements, making Eikura Yohei's poor heart tremble.
He didn't want students who had only enrolled a month ago to get beaten so badly they dropped out...
"Well, they still need training. Perhaps next time?"
Rejection was written all over Eikura Yohei's face, but Suguru Geto smiled gently.
"Actual combat is the best training, wouldn't you agree, Mr. Eikura?"
Beside them, Yu Haibara immediately raised his hand in excited agreement.
"It would be such an honor to receive guidance from you!"
Eikura Yohei's cheeks seemed to sink in even further. Yu Haibara, you don't know how terrifying these two are yet. Quit while you can, kid.
Kento Nanami also felt that something was off.
"Then how about two against one?"
Faced with Suguru Geto's and Satoru Gojo's burning gazes, Eikura Yohei could only compromise. Two against one would end the fight faster. Better to get it over with.
"Make sure you go easy on them."
The dutiful Mr. Eikura didn't forget to remind the two second-years.
"Don't worry. We're very gentle with our underclassmen."
Even coming from Suguru Geto, those words couldn't be trusted entirely.
Had Satoru Gojo said them, they could have been dismissed as complete bullshit.
"Miwa, you're up."
Satoru Gojo spoke confidently, flashing a thoroughly delighted grin.
Miwa Chisei remained as still as a meditating monk, looking as though she refused to see, hear, or think about anything.
Miwa Riona, beside her, thought he had called on her and responded with warm enthusiasm.
"Oh! I look forward to learning from you, Gojo."
The faintest hint of a smile curled Miwa Chisei's lips. It seemed Miwa Riona did have her uses.
Satoru Gojo froze. He was just about to say he hadn't meant her when Miwa Chisei, sitting on the grass, teased him.
"Satoru Gojo, you're not afraid of Miwa Riona, are you?"
Miwa Riona had a nagging feeling that those words weren't well-intentioned.
Sure enough, the provoked teenage boy gave a disdainful laugh.
"Fine, Miwa Chisei. I'll beat Oreo until she cries first, then I'll beat you until you cry."
Miwa Riona couldn't help taking a step back at Satoru Gojo's inexplicable anger. But what was Oreo? Was he talking about her?
Eikura Yohei understood now. Satoru Gojo had come for Miwa Chisei.
Ah-my peaceful teaching career-was it finally going to fall apart?
He could only steel himself and cast a pleading look at Kento Nanami.
You're stronger, so you understand what I'm asking, right?
Kento Nanami sighed and stood up, resigned to his fate. In truth, he was a little curious himself about just how strong the Gojo Clan's "Six Eyes," so renowned throughout Jujutsu Society, really was.
Satoru Gojo rolled his neck. "If you touch me, you win."
Those words were rather arrogant, but he was Satoru Gojo, after all.
Kento Nanami's gaze steadied. His jujutsu divided a target's length into equal segments and forcibly created a weak point at the seven-to-three mark. Hitting that "point" would trigger a "critical hit."
But did that mean he had to land a hit on this guy first?
Kento Nanami immediately devised a plan. He said to Miwa Riona beside him, "Do whatever you can to stop him moving for an instant. Can you manage that?"
Miwa Riona gritted her teeth. "I'll try."
Neither of them had ever fought Satoru Gojo. All they remembered was the cursed energy that spilled out when he fought Suguru Geto.
But... jujutsu on that level?
Satoru Gojo held out both hands, aiming at the two of them.
The cursed energy output Satoru Gojo commonly used at present-Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue.
Of course, he had to dial back the power a little. Mr. Eikura would cry if he broke them.
The next second, a trace of disbelief appeared on Kento Nanami's composed face.
You've got to be kidding me. This kind of power!
Miwa Riona had only just plucked out two strands of her hair. Before she could even form the hand sign for her jujutsu, the tremendous power engulfed her. The scorching heat made her skin sting, and for an instant, she thought she was going to die.
Eikura Yohei's mouth was already hanging open, his glasses teetering precariously on the bridge of his nose.
Kento Nanami reacted faster than Miwa Riona, but one of his arms was still swallowed by the cursed technique.
Forget getting close. I can't even see him!
Miwa Chisei frowned slightly. Seeing Miwa Riona swallowed whole by the sphere, she couldn't help thinking what a poor little thing she was.
The fiery light faded completely. Miwa Riona knelt on the ground in a sorry state, a trace of fear in her eyes. Her silky pink hair was now a tangled mess. Fortunately, she had suffered only minor scrapes.
Satoru Gojo had already held back considerably. Very pleased that he had settled the fight in just five seconds, he pointed at Miwa Chisei.
"All right, your turn."
Miwa Chisei shut her eyes, kicked out her legs, and promptly lay down on the grass.
"Mr. Eikura, my head hurts so much-could it be a lingering aftereffect-"
Her cry was devoid of emotion, her face perfectly serene.
Beside her, Suguru Geto burst into wild laughter.
Sure enough, only magic could beat magic. Never thought you'd see the day, did you, Satoru Gojo?
Before you continue
