Gaara reached out and grasped a long spear made of sand.
Holding the spear, Gaara aimed at Sasuke and hurled it.
Am I going to die?
Sasuke closed his eyes. His injuries were too severe, and he still had trouble moving. There was no way he could dodge the sand spear.
"You look pretty pathetic, Sasuke!"
Naruto's voice rang out, and then he appeared and carried Sasuke away.
"Naruto? Didn't you leave the Chunin Ninja Exams arena with Lin Guang?"
Sasuke had no idea Naruto had actually gone with Lin Guang to deal with the ninja invading the village. He had thought they had gone off to have fun.
"We did leave, but we didn't go far. I was going to get a bowl at Ichiraku Ramen."
Naruto complained.
"All right, enough chitchat. Gaara's gone crazy. Let's get out of here!"
Sasuke tugged at Naruto's clothes, afraid he would keep rambling about irrelevant things.
"Hey, shouldn't we take this guy down?"
Naruto pointed at Gaara.
"Gaara's gone crazy, and now you have too? He's more than four times as strong as before. How are we supposed to fight him?"
Sasuke said.
If Naruto was the more emotional one, then Sasuke was the more rational one.
"How will we know unless we try?"
Naruto said with a smile.
